Moorland View Lodge

Very comfortable, quiet but nothing is too far away. Attention to detail in the lodge having spa shower gels, shampoos etc. VERY comfortable bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, and has a beautiful view.

I can't find fault.

The owners were very friendly and the property provided excellent accommodation for our stay

Really enjoyed our weekend way here! Lovely little hideaway, well thought out for guests with so many lovely little things to make your stay special, e.g. complimentary breakfast and snack bowl, little dog gift, beautiful smelling soaps and shower gels, dressing gowns. Everything was well presented and hosts were super responsive with any questions. Definitely would stay again. There was everything we needed to cook in the property and also several local pubs that were easy enough to book into. We stayed in March and the property was very warm still, great views of the moors even if the weather was a bit cold and foggy!

Can't really fault the place, but at a push would say that tall people have to watch their head in the bathroom as it's got a slanted ceiling from the roof eaves.

Absolutely wonderful little lodge! Would highly recommend. Immaculately clean, beautifully presented throughout with lots of attention to detail. I thought that the photos were Ai because everything looked so perfect, but everything actually was so perfect! Stunning area surrounded by scenic views and perfect location just a 5 minute drive into the heart of Baslow where you can walk to Chatsworth house. So many nice restaurants nearby. Entry is by key safe and we didn’t see the hosts at all which made it feel very private and relaxed. We had a wonderful time staying here and didn’t want to leave! Thank you, we will be back!

Nothing, it was perfect 😍

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The kitchen had everything you could need. Sofas and beds were comfy. Amazing views through all the windows. Loved how clean the place was. Especially loved the welcome pack and doggy treats bag and ball. We would stay here again and would recommend it. Plenty of walks nearby. Various pubs also nearby serving delicious foid and also dog friendly.

Even after turning the radiator valves down it was still very warm. No instructions on where we could place our rubbish and recycling. Only a minor thing. Wouldn't stop us staying here again.

Lovely views and the perfect location. Really comfortable stay and well equipped property. A perfect location for Matlock bath, Bakewell and highly recommend the Robin Hood Inn down the road.

Absolutely nothing, we can’t wait to return!
