"Wonderful cosy quiet getaway"

Lovely cosy and quiet retreat in a beautiful setting. The lodge had everything we needed and felt so homely. It was the perfect get away for a few days. The lovely toiletries and kitchen goodies were a much appreciated bonus too. Such a nice touch.

Great lbase for touring the Peak District. Great facilities had everything we desired. Doggy welcome pack was a nice touch.

Now and again the road was a bit noisy but nothing major. All in all a great place to stay.

"A perfect lodge for a getaway!"

The lodge was absolutely perfect for our long weekend! It is so well equipped with everything you would need. It was very comfortable and we absolutely loved the little garden/terrace and watching the wildlife in the field below! There was even a welcome pack for the dog. We would love to come back and stay soon! 5 ⭐️

"Watership Down on The Lawn"

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Moorland View Lodge with our Whippet, Cleo. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable, ticking all the boxes, with magnificent views across the countryside. The host was friendly and helpful, as was her son when he spotted me looking a little lost trying to find the wheelie bins. Thank you. Plenty of wildlife surrounding the Lodge, including wild rabbits all over the lawn throughout the day and evening, swallows with their beautiful bird song, red kites, buzzards and some farm animals next door, (horses, cows and sheep, one of which was incredibly chatty which was so cute!). Perfect break away for us, with my husband being a wildlife photographer, and both of us loving being surrounded by nature. Cleo, our whippet was totally relaxed and enjoyed playing in the secure garden. We were a little concerned she might try to get to the rabbits, but the garden was secure enough to prevent any problems of this nature. Some good days out included the nearby Baslow Edge, Matlock and Bakewell for some traditional Bakewell pudding. Plenty of wind down time, reading my kindle in a beautiful location. We felt very refreshed after a week's break.

No complaints at all.
