Moorland View Lodge

It was clean and spacious doesn’t need anything else added to it will definitely be coming back

Lovely views. Cosy and warm. Self catering so we didn't need to go out unless we wanted to. Close to the Robin Hood pub - which did excellent food. Would definitely recommend!

The property is excellent, has everything you could need provided including tea, coffee, biscuits and plenty of crockery. It was comfortable and felt very private. Everything was spotlessly clean and it was excellent that our dog was allowed to stay - she had a great time and met the host’s dog who was very friendly! The location is perfect for beautiful views and walks and a 10-15 minute drive into Bakewell. There is secure parking as the property is gated with a code to enter.

The only downsides were a few head bumps on the low portions of the ceilings, and the bed moves quite a lot so could do with some anti-slip under it!

Lovely area. Extremely clean and tidy, loved the little extras like shampoo and shower gels and little things in the kitchen too. Well equipped kitchen with everything you could need, great little enclosed garden space too, will aim to come back again if we are able too.

Nowhere to put poo bags outside and or unsure on which bin in the property was recycling and normal waste but apart from that, really good.

The property was beautiful and had everything you needed. The location was brilliant with glorious views from all of the windows. The fenced garden meant that we could let our little dog out without worrying about her getting out.

The only issues that we had was that we couldn’t get enough hot water for baths.

Loved the location, excellent for our visit to Chatsworth. Loved the fact we had a whole lodge, allowed us to eat in and relax after long day out. Fabulous views.

Only small issue was the vaulted ceiling in the bathroom, husband banged his head a lot (he’s 5”10) & found getting close to the toilet and sink difficult without squatting. I’m 5”2 so didn’t have the same problem :) Just something to be aware of for taller people.

Moorland View was a beautiful cosy lodge and just what we needed to enjoy a peaceful relaxing break away with fab views. Host was very informative on how to get to the lodge before our stay. Would highly recommend 😊
