"Another wonderful holiday"

10.0

We love everything about this property. This was our second visit here after staying for a week last year. The chalet has everything you need, is in a great location and the host is friendly and efficient. A short walk to the beach, and we really enjoy the scenic walk into the town along the cliffs.

There is nothing we don't like.

The area is lovely, convenient to get to the beach and park. Cosy at night. Very comfortable. Lovely and quiet area. Overall had a lovely stay.

Only had a hoover to clean floors a sweeping brush and brush dustpan to keep clean would be easier through the week. There was only one pillow each so we ended up using cushion off the sofa. Hot taps moves around when trying to turn it on. Only one window was unlocked to open. I feel having an airer to dry towels and beachwear would be beneficial to the chalet. Bathroom door wouldn't shut properly had to slam door shut.

"Great location, comfy beds and great value"

8.0

Great location, super comfy beds and linen provided which smelt fab! Towels also included so one less thing to pack.

Looked a little tired in places but expected after a summer season, it wouldn’t put me off staying here again.

"Enjoyed my stay"

8.0

Duncan answered my couple of enquiries quickly, and contacted me the day before my stay to let me know the code for the key box. The chalet was generally clean and tidy, although some of the furniture was dated and some of the surfaces a little sticky. The double bed and settee were comfortable. There was limited space to hang clothes (a few hangers in the small cupboard in the 2nd bedroom, plus wall hooks in the bedrooms), so you'd probably have to 'live out of a suitcase' if you are staying for more than a few days or there are 3 or 4 people in your group. There was plenty of bedding (including spare for those chilly nights), and more than enough towels. The kitchen contained everything you'll need, right down to tea towels, washing up liquid, and cleaning materials. There was a basic fridge (no freezer section), and the usual kitchen electricals. The shower was powerful and easy to use, and heats its own water. However, the water for the kitchen and bathroom sinks was heated by an immersion, which wasn't obvious. (It's in the top cupboard in the 2nd bedroom, with the switch hidden by the plug). Once I'd worked out where the immersion was located, I found turning it on for 30 minutes in the morning and evening was enough. Although handwash was provided, you'll need to bring your own toiletries like soap and shampoo. Although the daytime weather was warm, the nights got a little chilly, so the free-standing electric heaters came in handy first thing in the morning. (All electricity is now included in the rental price - I believe you used to have to pay extra for this). The chalet is located in an attractive area, with plenty of greenery. There's easy access to the cliffs, giving a pleasant walk into Cromer (about 15 to 20 minutes). If you use public transport, Cromer railway station is a few minutes walk from the town centre, where you can catch the CH2 bus to Station Road, a few minutes walk from the chalet park.

Bedroom was a bit cramped; not much space for hanging clothes; it wasn't obvious how to heat the water.
