"Stay was good location was perfect , very peaceful ,but TV volume was crazy low"

9.0

I loved everything

The TV volume is set at 11 Which was rediculous as one cannot hear especially during the day , better at night but even so you have to be really quiet to hear wats going on . I did ask two cleaning ladies to get us help on that but none came back to us . Even if it was set at 20 it was going to be ok I daught it would bother neighbours.

"Silence is not golden"

7.0

The room catered for our needs.

The staff kept asking us to keep it down even when we were not making noise but just having a conversation. We felt like we were on egg shells or in a library😏

"Overpriced, Noisy, and Cold Showers"

3.0

The location.

We booked this unit expecting comfort, but were shocked at the reality. After 7 hours of traveling, we were greeted with an ice-cold shower due to a shared geyser. Nowhere in the listing was this disclosed, and according to the Consumer Protection Act, this is false advertising. When we raised the issue, one staff member was polite, but the lady on duty was rude, dismissive, and even attempted to "teach us" how to use a mixer tap — implying the lack of hot water was our fault. She also had the audacity to suggest we follow a bathing schedule. Absolutely unacceptable. The property itself doubles as staff quarters, which makes "noisy" an understatement. From being woken up by a tuk-tuk starting outside the window to loud conversations between staff and management, there is zero sense of peace. Other unacceptable issues: The aircon smells like fish, making it unusable. The front blinds are useless — streetlights and the sun shine straight into the room. The outside stairs are broken, propped up with bricks, and dangerously flimsy — a serious safety concern. The outside light doesn’t work, making access unsafe at night. The management’s response was to dismiss our experience with the excuse that “no one else ever had a problem” and that maybe we “showered one after the other.” This is not true — even with one person showering, the water was freezing. Some of us were only able to shower at 11:30 pm. This setup may work for a short business stay, but it is unacceptable to charge Umhlanga prices while running both staff quarters and guest accommodation off the same property. Guests deserve transparency and basic comfort — neither of which was provided here.
