Les Roques Apartments in historical Monastery

Very spacious and beautiful. First floor appartement in the center of Durbuy with the best view of the city. Very convenient that you can park right in front of the accommodation without having to pay extra.

Perfect location. Host is very friendly and helpful.

The front door is not strong and doesn’t offer security. We can hear everything from outside which means not good sound isolation from that front door. Always afraid if someone is coming from outside because with a bit of force you can brake that door. In the bedroom there is a door that connects to other apartment and we can hear everything from that apartment. There are trash bins but no plastic sacs.

Location

It’s old and not like the pictures on booking. The host only speaks French so hard to communicate. He is trying to do his best. The accommodation is not a nice as on the pictures. The price for a sleepover is much too high. The shower water is only for 1,5 person in the morning warm. New furniture, a painting should be nice. A really pity is the door to an apartment next door. Due to this there was a lot of noise from the other apartment guests at 03:30 at night. We good literally hear what they were saying.

Fantastic location, just steps away from everything in this charming little town. Having a parking space was a great bonus. It was very quiet at night, and we enjoyed a restful sleep. The warm welcome was wonderful, with everything about the apartment explained clearly, and there was even a welcome beer waiting for us!

The front door felt a bit flimsy and didn’t offer much security, but the town seemed very safe, which made us feel more at ease. The apartment could use some care; the bed’s headboard was stained where people rest their heads, which wasn’t pleasant, and there was a lingering smell of tobacco throughout the space.

The location is just perfect. You walk out and are in the center of the nicest village in the world! No noise, parking closeby as well.

Apparently you could smoke inside the apartment. Which left a smell which was not nice to walk into. We had to open the windows for a very long time first to get a bit of the smell out.

Great location in old town in an historic building. Spacious, well equipped apartment with all you need. Excellent communication with host who was very helpful.

Be aware that without a car getting to and from Durbuy is difficult and expensive. The closest railway station is 5km away in Barvaux. There is a shuttle bus in July & August but otherwise it is an expensive taxis ride (60E)

The location was excellent for discovering the city

The accommodation was tired with the bedding being rather old and the shower area of the wet room being not as clean as it could have been.

Location is fantastic . It’s literally in the same building with the monastery. Everything looks ancient and historical. Very nice room with view on the rocks. Even though it was really hot outside, it was really comfortable inside. Raphael was very nice and helpful and came to check us in, even though we arrived out of check-in time.

Furniture looks a little bit worn out. The sink was clogged. There are some spiders, but it’s not a big problem because we surrounded by nature.

Location is excellent. The building is historical beauty. Good communication with the host. Very friendly and warm welcome by Raphael.

Very small bathroom with curtain (dirty) and no window. No airconditioning and only opening windows in bedroom. Strong smokers scent in the appartement. Parking is a disaster because of cars blocking the exit of the courtyard. In general the pictures exceed the reality.
