Apartments Madrid Plaza Mayor-Tintoreros

It’s in a fantastic location. It’s spotless and communication with the host was very efficient. The two balconies in the penthouse are great too (when they are not in the Madrid summer sun)

There was only one set of keys which wasn’t great for a group, and there was no way to get an additional set. The stairs to the mezzanine are pretty severe and there is an unmarked set between the lounge and kitchen

Good amenities, location, & value. A little loud at night but that was expected bc of all the restaurants right outside. I would stay here again for sure!

The best attribute of this unit is it's location, it's within 5 minutes to several subway stations and it's super easy to get to anywhere in Madrid. You can also walk to many nearby sights (Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Royal palace...). Balcony and view is also nice. Very nice neighbourhood with many bars and restaurants. Overall score is based mainly on location, if you don't mind the other things then I would highly recommend.

The apartment needs an update. Beds (very poor), bathroom, wall paint, kitchen, old furniture, the upper floor gets very hot in the afternoon as it's facing south and west. Very noisy almost 0-24.

Location was incredible for exploring centre of the city. Lift straight into apartment.

Apartment was a lot smaller than the photos suggested. Stairs to bedroom were steep narrow with a poor fitted handrail. Anyone of reduced mobility would not be able to use. Bathroom needs a total redecoration. Shower is not a walk in as described. Bath leaked through to kitchen when we tried to use it. Apartment needs a complete redecoration with many signs of damp and peeling paintwork. The narrow twisting wooden staircase to the property is almost impossible to negotiate should the lift be out of action for any reason.

The apartment needs better upkeep. Not in the best condition, although clean!

The terrace overlooking the neighbourhood was wonderful for having our evening meals. Also, we had all the facilities we needed.

I can't think of anything that was missing.

We never got more room, temperature water, and the air conditioning doesn’t really do much.
