We loved being in the Old town. The hotel across the road did an excellent breakfast.

When people arrive in a city the luggage should be able to be dropped off early. Our first day in Lisbon was spoiled because we couldnt drop our luggage and go touring until 3.

"Apartment is nice, but they could improve the reception"

The apartment is very nice and bright and in a great location in Alfama. It was a comfortable stay.

Picking up the key in a location so far away from the apartment is quite a hassle. The staff at the reception were not friendly or welcoming. I tried to ask a few questions and she didn't seem interested in helping at all. Not the best welcome to Lisbon. We also landed very early with our flight and they charge quite an expensive fee to store your luggage. Everywhere else we stayed stored the luggage for free.
