Brooksides Byre Durham Country Cottage

3 large double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, extremely comfortable accommodation on the farm. The grandson enjoyed looking at the chickens and seeing Rupert the ram and the horses.

There wasn’t a spare cupboard to put our food in.

Our stay was fantastic! The house was spacious and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. We enjoyed walking the track around the farm and visiting with the hens.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Beds were very comfortable

No lighting up the dark pathway from the house to the front door

Brooksides Byre was a well appointed warm barn conversion. The rooms were airy and attractively decorated. Having two WCs was great. The beds were comfortable. The main living room had sitting and kitchen areas which worked well. All the appliances worked. The TV with a supply of DVDs and Blu -Rays for a player was good. The hosts left refreshments which were much appreciated after a long drive. There were useful maps and a guide to the history of the area including the 1569 Uprising that started in the vicinity. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with the top of Brancepeth Castle just visible over trees to the south.

There was nothing to dislike.

Self catering Quiet location close to visitor attractions that we had planned to visit and countryside walks.
