"Poor communication if you need help from the host during your stay but brilliant location."

The host was exceptional up until we arrived at the apartment and even allowed us early check in. We greatly appreciated that. However, during our stay, they did not respond to messages about the faulty washing machine.

The host could have responded to messages during our stay. I chose this apartment because it had a washing machine (I had been travelling for 1 week before arrival so a washing machine was an important consideration). The catch on the washing machine door is broken and it will not close or operate. I informed the host the morning after arrival, sending photos and explaining the situation. Given that they had advertised it had a washing machine and explaining my need to use it, I asked how they could help me. I contacted them again later but have had no reply at all. This was very disappointing as their service had been 1st class up until then.

Cosy apartment which has all essentials

No AC ! That was a big problem when 35 outside .. there were quite a lot of fans but wasn’t that comfortable to sleep. Can be a bit noisy at night from the rooms of the street side night / early morning time. We had to leave windows open due to the heat at night could heart rubbish / cleaning cars

"Very disappointing"

Flat hadnt been cleaned properly. Showers not clean. Shower doors. Kitchen not adequately cleaned. Greasy cooker splashback/ chopping board in drawer with dried- in food still on it.Cups in cupboard had to be washed- coffee/tea stains Floors hadn’t been clean. Dust everywhere. Dirty marks on walls. Main dining table- chipped and not clean. No adequate cleaning materials left. One dishwasher tablet was left in the kitchen. No cloths/ washing up liquid/ kitchen roll/ tea towel. We were left six sachets of body wash/shampoo for 4 people for 4 nights. No bar of soap to wash hands. I immediately contacted ‘Feels like Home’ the company who let out these flats and told them how disappointed we were. Their rep in Lisbon said that the items I mentioned especially in the kitchen were not part of their terms of rental?!Having spent many years traveling - this is the first time I have come across such a unwelcoming apartment. Not even a bottle of water left! They did however send two cleaners to clean the flat. ‘Feels Like Home’ don’t supply people on the ground. All check in / passport submission etc was carried out by myself prior to the trip. We made phone calls to the company to access the flat. They were very good at reminding us what we couldn’t do! But ‘Feels like Home’- it wasn’t!

nice location

1) quest "find the key" before getting into the apartment. When booking, I did not pay attention to the special condition for obtaining the key. This is the first time I have come across such conditions. having arrived at the apartment with a suitcase, I had to go to a separate “welcome office” for the key. the additional cost for a taxi was 40 euros. money is not the problem. the problem is fatigue after a five-hour flight and an unfamiliar city. the company shall write such condition with a caps lock letters while booking! 2) the apartment is located in an old building and the soundproofing is therefore poor. for example, you can very well hear how one of the neighbors from above walks around the apartment 3) we waited extra 1,5 hours while apartment will be cleaned. it means, while opening apartment we met with a cleaning lady. and when the check in time is 3 pm, we got a chance to be alone in the prepaid apartment only at 4:25!!! taking into account the key quest and the rules fixed for check out of previous guests at 11 am and our check in at 1500, it really unprofessional and unfair!
