River Retreat Apartment Exeter - River Views & Parking

It was very clean & modern The host left us some milk in the fridge & some biscuits which was a bonus for our little one

All in all great getaway, excellent hosts and lovely property. It felt very homely and was in a wonderful location with the river views!

A hot plate for the kitchen would be great and the bed was very very squishy (we could feel the bed frame when sat) but was a comfortable nights sleep

The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. A welcome packet of biscuits as well as tea, coffee and milk were waiting for us. The bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa in the lounge. The towels were nice and large. We were met by the host and given a quick tour but, had she not been available, the keys were in a lock box and there was a list of need to know information in the lounge waiting for us. The river view was great and it was relaxing to watch the swans and ducks on the river. If I need to return to the area, this will be my go to place to stay as it really was lovely.

The only downside was the lumpy mattress on the bed other than that I couldn’t fault it!!

Very clean and functional, was exactly as advertised. Hosts were very accommodating but not intrusive at all. The surroundings were great.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, very soft, however this is personal choice as we like a firm mattress. The settee was difficult to get comfortable on as it was quite deep and as me and the wife are vertically challenged our feet didn't touch the floor. Easy fix as the sofa bed pulled out and we rested our feet on that, sorted!

Good location with nice walks nearby and easy access into Exeter. Friendly helpful hosts who responded to our lack of technical ability re television very quickly. Very clean and nice views from the windows. Nice touch to provide binoculars so we could watch the egret and other bird life.

There was a problem with the front door lock but hosts were quick to respond and helpful in getting in sorted and were most apologetic about it.

Clean and near to bus net work which we needed for our weekend

Bed and sofa could have been a tad more comfortable. Would have been good to have a single hob or air fryer to cook

Excellent accommodation for either singles or couples.

Bed could have been a little softer but maybe that is just my personal preference.

A gorgeous apartment, indeed!! It was clean, comfortable, and homely. It had everything we believe it was essential. Amazing location with beautiful lake view. Our host Samina was incredibly lovely, welcoming, and helpful. I am grateful that Samina left us some cookies, tea bags, sugar, and fresh milk.I thoroughly appreciated my tea after the long journey. My children loved the place.
