thoughtfully equipped one room apartment. cable tv, coffee machine, very clean and would definitely stay again. we think this is the best and also value for money area in lisbon.

Great location in Alfama with all facilities in the flat and humidifier! Great for the humidity at the end of october. They also waited for us in our late arrival.

Could not get into property-our flight from Prague to Lisbon delayed 2 hrs, emailed manager, he said it was ok. We have him our estimated ETA, he said someone would meet us at property. Nobody there, no phone number ever given for contact, neighborhood at 11 pm in dark was super unsafe looking. Taxi driver did not want us to get out, my son who is 6’2, said he did not feel it was safe, we had taxi driver take us to closest American hotel.

Unsafe neighborhood, no lockbox for door, groups of guys standing around smoking at 11 pm on Sunday night, narrow twisty roads with no ability to turn car around. No internet reception to try manager via email a 3rd time.

The location of this apartment in the historic Alfama area was the best thing about it. It was about 10 minutes up the hill and long steep stairs from the Fado museum, which is about another 10 minutes walk from the central Baix area of Lisbon. The local area had good restaurants which had Fado performances which were special. The apartment itself was up a short flight of stairs, and was quite small - tiny kitchen, tiny bathroom, adequate sitting area and bedroom. The ceiling is quite low and it has one window in the sitting area which lets in little light and provides no view due to the wide lattice bars in front of it - which gave the apartment a cage like quality. The internet connection failed while we were there and while we could access another nearby modem, the signal wasn't strong or reliable. No added nice touches or supplies apart from toilet paper and towels come with this apartment and the manager was not able to look after luggage in case of early arrival or late departure. This meant a cost of 23 Euros to have our luggage stored for the afternoon before our departure from Lisbon. People in the apartment upstairs could be heard at times and some loud thumps at 1am one night woke us up. The apartment did have an air conditioner and dehumidifier which were both absolutely essential for coping with the hot 30ºC temperatures that Lisbon had during our stay in early October. Apart from that the apartment was poor value for the price we paid.

The back bedroom gets a little warm, but overall the place was great.
