If you are comfortable with low ceiling rooms and only 1.2 square meter window to the outside plus no windows for the bedroom then brace yourself for the cherry on the cake... NOISE. There are multiple sources from low to high: ventilation system of the building, fridge, motorcycles and cars passing under your window and "le piece de resistance"... the ABOVE NEIGHBORS felt through the thin wood ceiling. They walk with heavy steps, drop things on the floor, change furniture location, talk loudly, listen to music... etc. All these "rituals" of the neighbors above take place mainly from 22:30 to 7:00 (so only during night hours). The wooden ceiling is so bad that you could even hear their phone vibrating! I communicated to Manuel twice about this but with little effect. Although I wrote this in an intended funny way... our 10-day stay in Lisbon was almost ruined by this accommodation. :(

Great location, within walking distance to all we needed but also quiet at night (we were there just before the sardine festival in May) so we slept well - it also makes a difference that the bedroom is not on the road side. WiFi was excellent and the aircon cooled the whole apartment. The shower was hot and the little kitchen had oil if you needed to cook. Plenty of towels, loo roll and soap and shower gel but not shampoo.

The iron didn’t work (but we let the host know).

The manager was very helpful. The location is good.

Well equipped kitchen and even a laundry machine that was quite convenient. Great location (not recommended for people with mobility issues though).

The layout is a bit weird, as the main bedroom does not have any windows, an element that makes the proposed value a bit expensive.

Cosy, comfortable and spacious flat, located in an iconic part of Lisbon, Alfama. The street is relatively quiet, but within a few minutes walk to Graça, the Castle and downtown. One can easily get a taxi or walk to a tube station too. Countless restaurants and patisseries within 2 minutes. The flat has much better ventilation than most properties I stayed in historical neighbourhoods—there is a large window, an efficient air-con and an air purifier.

The hot water didn’t work very well and the towels were a bit skimp for the property rate. I must say the host tried to address these points promptly which is great.

Right in the heart of Alfama … for anyone who likes to walk & doesn’t mind stairs, it is ideally located. It is just steps away from great little restaurants and fabulous fado, but quiet just the same. The beds are firm and comfortable; the kitchen is well-equipped; the wifi works well. The towels are soft and the place was spotlessly clean. Manuel met us at the apartment as planned and helped us with our luggage, and we had no problems at all.
