Olivier Design Apartments - Downtown Lisbon - floors 2, 3, no lift

Very central location to vibrant portion of the city, close to the Santa Justa elevator, promenade with many restaurants and the square at the water front. Appartment was well furnished, clean. A washer is available, a washer/dryer combo would have been prefered, as well as a bit of laundry soap to use. Air conditioning in living room and bed room.

Rather expensive. Twice a power outage on day 2, and day 3. We had to wait 2 hours the first time for keys, because the stairway entrance and the appartment entrance are both electronic. We were effectively locked inside a dark appartment, as leaving without keys was not an option, risking no entry for the night. Since no estimated time could be provided for power-on, we requested management to start planning for alternative accomodations with power, e.g. hotel nearby. This was declined as it was 'not their problem' we were out of power. That is exactly what a guest does not want to hear....Power turned on again at 1am, after outage of approx 5 hours.

The apartment itself is very beautiful and well decorated. Very comfortable Location was perfect and the host as well

Pretty good stay. Everything was very clean location was really good. Bit of confusion at check-in but otherwise everything was pretty good after check-in

The good: The location is fabulous, in the middle of everything. The apartment is very nice and clean, reasonably quiet given the area and age of building. It has all the basic amenities you might come to expect. Convenient nearby parking, underground. The not so good: parking (included with the rental) is in a public facility about 300 meters away (1000 feet). The problem is that the vouchers for parking are in the apartment, and you can't get them before you park. That is, if you drive there. There is a city fee to pay, which can only be paid via PayPal, so be prepared and have that thing installed and activated, or else you'll struggle. Getting in the apartment is via a code on the door, which is convenient, but it does not work before 3 pm on the day of the arrival, so don't come early... And, do not expect the communication with the management to be too customer-centric, this is not the USA. Polite, helpful, but not terribly friendly. And only via WhatsApp, so again, be prepared. Overall though, this place is highly recommended, it beats hands down a hotel room.
