Estudio Las Huertas

The location is fantastic. The apartment was clean with lots of cleaning materials available to keep it that way. The coffee machine was good and came with plenty of coffee and sugar Lots of hot water for the shower, some places it runs out quickly.

Although the apartment is clean, the decor and fixtures & fittings are dilapidated. The washing machine is broke which annoyed us as we had told the owner we would need to do washing when we arrived and he said that was OK. The bed only has one long pillow instead of two individual pillows. The walls are paper thin! You can hear the quietest of conversations in all the surrounding apartments. Bear in mind that the Spanish go out and stay out late and do NOT have quiet conversations when they get back in the early hours! If they turn on a TV or radio, it is as clear as if it was in the room with you. You have to pay for your stay in cash BUT you have to give your credit card details when you book on Booking.com which the owner keeps 'in case of breakages'. It felt really dodgy. Our booking said we had a 'private courtyard'. Photo attached of what that was! And you have no access to it anyway. There was an old bed dumped on our balcony. Not that you would want to spend much time there... The apartment urgently needs refurbishing. We paid twice this amount for an apartment in Seville and thought it was better value for money than this one. We would not stay here again and urge anyone to spend a little more and stay elsewhere.

The studio is located in a great part of Madrid- 15 minutes to all the museums, close to Plaza Major, Gardens, etc. I there are many great bars/ restaurants on the street, which is very busy, but, since the apartment faces the back it is super quiet. There are supermarkets 5 minutes away, and the market as well.

The only drawback is that the "balcony" door is 1/2 meter from the back yard pavement and is the only sourse of air (+AC). I slept with the door closed but when up- kept it open. There is only one other apartment on the same level facing the yard.

The only thing that was not according to my expectation was that the coach was not a bed sofa so if you are two friends one has to sleep on a coach

There is everything you need, the house is very clean and tidy, and the area is great for tourism I love it 😺

Perfect location and very good value for money. Despite being in the city center it's not loud inside, very clean, and with all the amenities you could need.

Can't say there is anything that bothered me.

Unfortunately the washing machine was broken.

This location Is perfect to visit the city and the kindness of the owner is amazing. It0 s a side full of comfort and really near to all museums and the main cultural zones. I will come back exactly there
