Waou Plaza Mayor I - Alquiler Corta Duración

Had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in a great location which made getting around super convenient. The accomodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hot water was consistent the entire time. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their instructions and communication were excellent. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Well equipped apartment

Location was good next to Plaza mayor

The room was located on the top floor, but the elevator only went up to the 4th floor, so I had to walk up the stairs. During my stay, the building was under renovation. The hallways and elevator were covered with cardboard, making it difficult to carry luggage. The building was also being painted, causing a strong smell of paint to linger inside the room. The air conditioner was an old model and did not cool properly, which was especially uncomfortable since I was traveling in the summer. The door lock was broken and could not be secured, and no repair was provided. I contacted the property to request a room change due to the room condition and odor, but I was told that it was not possible to change rooms.

If I lived in Madrid, I would love an apartment like this! We were just a few feet from the Plaza Mayor, literally a stone's throw. The apartment was on the 5th floor. There was an elevator that only went to the 4th floor and then we had to walk up one flight of stairs. The indoor of the building was going through a remodeling project, and there were multiple units in the building. Not sure if they are all rentals. We had a nice sized bathroom and bedroom with plenty of closet space. We had a full kitchen and dining area, as well as a living room area with seating and tv. The highlight was the outside balcony with views of the city (not the Plaza Mayor, but mostly of other buildings). We also had a washing machine. The hosts were great and we used a code to get into the building. It was roomy and clean.

The terrace is the centerpiece of this property. It is larger than we thought based on the photos. The bathroom is surprisingly large for an old building as well. The building also has an elevator as far as the 3rd floor leaving only one floor to climb stairs to the apartment.

The batteries in the air conditioning remote were nearly dead and we had problems turning the AC on and off.

This is a very comfortable apartment right next to Plaza Mayor. the location is superb - literally 10 steps from Plaza Mayor, 5 minutes' walk from Puerta del Sol, 10 minutes' walk from the Royal Palace. With that, it is quiet. The building has just been renovated. The apartment is equipped with everything we needed. Full kitchen with all the needed appliances, utensils and silverware. It is large and has a bath and spacious living room. The apartment has a porch with a view to the Telefonica tower.

It was difficult to be granted entry to the building and apartment. It requires a specific app and access to the Internet (which we did not have). The hosts' responses were somewhat slow. The apartment is on the 5th floor and the elevator only goes 4 floors, which means another floor by foot in a narrow stairway. There is no access to the building with a car, so some walking is required to get there.

The whole apartment was wonderful but we really enjoyed the balcony at the roof level of Madrid. Great views and a nice sunny way to start each morning! Great facilities with everything you need including a washing machine. We really enjoyed our stay. We were close to Mayor Square, the Market, Puerto del Sol and we could walk everywhere.

We were worried about the key being on our phone but it worked great (and we ended up having a physical key too)

Location is excellent. 10 minutes away from everything. Besides this, the terras is amazing.
