Wallinga Farmstay Mudgee

So quiet and peaceful, not even 5mins away from Mudgee town..easy to self check in and out.

Beautiful setting, great location, comfortable beds, helpful host.

Beautiful scenery. Accommodation was clean and lovely. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kids loved the games, cricket set and totem tennis.

Only small issue - it was super hot and the cool air from the air conditioning didn’t reach the bedrooms, so bedrooms remained hot and very uncomfortable until the weather cooled during the night. The rooms did have ceiling fans, but they didn’t do much to cool the rooms either.

The place is close to Mudgee town centre. Only a short drive away. Our stay was comfortable and the place is clean.

The property looked very nice and the sheep grazing past the cabin was a hit for our 8 month old baby.

The cabin was hotter than a sauna! We arrived at 10pm at night and all the windows were open. We had to close them all and turn the one way undersized AC on thinking that would cool it down. Couldn’t be more wrong. The only cool room was the living area. All the bedrooms were hot all night even with all the fans on trying to blow the cool air from the living room. Our 8 month old didn’t sleep till well after midnight and began showing signs of heat stress the next day. After going out for lunch and leaving the AC on thinking it wouldn’t be so bad the next night we returned around 3pm to find all the bedrooms were still hotter then hell. We decided to just leave immediately which was a shame since we had to book and pay for 3 nights and didn’t even get 24hrs out of it.

Stayed with 2 friends on a girls road trip. Super easy check in even though it was a last minute book in. Very pleasant. Great, peaceful location with friendly sheep to look at while drinking a morning cuppa. Will definitely be back again!

Loved how peaceful it was, modern farm stay feels thats not too far away from town. On a clear night, the night sky is amazing! Alina was a great host and was quick to reply to any questions I had. Property is equipped with everything you need for a weekender, appreciate the small touches like books and games for the kids. The kids love that the sheeps and alpaca on the farm, lovely watching them graze away in the evening roaming the property (they come close to the cabin).

Rural locations tends to have a lot of night visitors (bugs), it was hard to keep them out of the cabin in the evening (attracted to the light) when getting in and out but if they don't bother you its not an issue at all.
