Wallinga Farmstay Mudgee

Lovely location, nice quiet ambiance. Beautiful view of stars at night. Short drive into Mudgee and local wineries.

The cabin was very dirty. Dirty windows/doors, window sills, toilet and sink. No lighters for the fire pit. Told to go to drive to Shell to get one after asking informing the hosts the ones left weren’t working.

This beautiful property is like a tiny home but for families. Situated less than 10 minutes from Mudgee town centre, you felt like you were miles away. The cabin was well equipped (kitchen with sauces, S&P etc) with quality linen, smart TV etc. The cabins are clearly fairly new and the condition was fantastic. A few little inclusions like a stick vacuum and kids toys show the host has considered the needs of their guests. We stayed in the Cooper cabin, which has a beautiful view of the mountains however I would probably recommend the Ruby cabin as that is where you seem to have the grazing sheep come right up to your deck.

There are two cabins are in close proximity, although still private I was a bit nervous my loud kids playing in our paddock would disturb the neighbours (thankfully they didn’t!). A clothes horse/line and extra hooks inside would be ideal to allow towels to dry properly.

Secluded and beautiful location Clean and comfortable home

We just spent three nights at Wallinga Farmstay with another family and had a wonderful time! The cabins are very spacious and contain everything needed for the trip. Lots of little extras, like kids games and books. The farm is quiet and offers lots of room for the kids to run around and play. Very close to town, so easy to pop in for supplies. The kids loved having the outdoor campfire to roast marshmallows. We enjoyed doing the farm tour and getting to meet farmer Cooper. He was very knowledgeable!

There were still lollies and food underneath the lounge but that was very minor.

Great location - beautiful scenery

Very very dirty - the fans were inches thick with dust - we had to clean them before we could bring our baby inside. The shower had a bit of mould , a d bedsheet had a stain, could do with a decent clean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this farmstay, and I'm thrilled to give it a glowing 5-star review. The cleanliness of the accommodation was outstanding, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hosts were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel truly welcome. I highly recommend this farmstay for its cleanliness, attentive hosts, and overall exceptional experience.
