The main bedroom has no window at all, and the secondary bedroom opens onto the apartment’s internal gallery, which is the dining area and connects directly to the kitchen. This lack of direct ventilation in the bedrooms makes the smell of damp very unpleasant, which is by far the main issue. In addition, the en-suite bathroom in the main bedroom vents into the kitchen through a pipe. Although there is an extractor fan, the smells end up coming into the kitchen. As a minor point, there are also very few power outlets in the apartment. Although the price was low, there were certain basic health and hygiene standards that the apartment did not meet.
