Fantastic location close to Train Station and Cruise Terminal, modern and clean apartment with everything you need, communication with owner was amazing

Pedro, the manager, was amazing; always available to provide help & support, with almost daily hints & suggestions of how to get the best from our trip. It is in the old part of the city, with lots of restaurants & Mini marts nearby, as well as easy transport links. Everyone was so friendly. Getting good, fres, fruit & veg at a sensible price was not so easy tho.' In the grid area of the city centre, a little to the RHS (with back to the river), there is a small supermarket with better choices & also a great liquor store with a huge range of wines etc at a full range of prices. The only good size supermarket we found was on leaving the city 2day - at Sete Rio's/ Metro zoo station, where there was a Lidl. If there are any fresh fruit & veg markets in Lisbon, we failed to find them !

With the apartment, nothing really, tho' the mattress was a little soft & dippy for my back. Portuguese authorities seemed rather 'money grabbing.' Thousands of tourists at Cascais & Sintra with massive queues for Palace etc. Don't believe there are no toilets other than inside the gates - just walk down the hill a little to the car park & they are across the road, a few steps up the hill. Tour buses were hustled along without adequate time to pick up passengers, hence people being left behind - we weren't the only ones on our tour. Suggest getting the train to Sintra from Rossio & a local bus from the station. Much cheaper & less 'kick & rush' - just do your research first.

For us it was convenient to be very close to the train station (Apolonia) (short but steep walk). Kitchen does not only have an oven but also an ovendish (the Ikea glass one). For us a gem - we travelled for a few months through Europe and a lot of appartments having an oven do not have any bowl/dish to use in it. An oven is not just for pizza. I choose for an appartment with kitchen because I would like to cook - even during travel.

Ein wirklich schönes Appartement, das uns super gut gefallen hat. Es gab eine Flasche Wein+Wasser zur Begrüßung, sowie ein paar Kaffeekapseln für die Nespresso-Maschine und Teebeutel. Im 5 Minuten entfernten Supermarkt Pingo Doce bei der Metrostation waren wir täglich einkaufen. Die kurze Distanz zur Metrostation war optimal. Absolut ruhig gelegenes Schlafzimmer mit einer großen Schrankwand incl. Safe, Bügeleisen+Bügelbrett. In jedem Raum sind neue schallisolierte Kunststofffenster mit hellen Jalousien. Im 3. Stock konnte uns auch niemand in die Zimmer reinschauen, man fühlte sich nie beobachtet, konnte aber selber schön auf die Straße rausschauen. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet, es fehlte nichts. Der kleine Wäscheständer hat uns gute Dienste geleistet, da wir dort drauf unsere Klamotten auslüften konnten, so waren Sofa und Stühle immer frei. Der Fernseher ist ein Smart-TV-Gerät und mit unserem eigenen Netflix-Account konnten wir uns super einfach anmelden und in deutscher Sprache abends Filme anschauen. Das Wlan funktionierte einwandfrei und auch der Gastgeber Pedro war jederzeit zu erreichen und hat superschnell auf Fragen geantwortet und uns auch direkt nach der Ankunft mit Tipps und Empfehlungen über booking.com informiert.

Wenn man sich etwas wünschen könnte, wäre das entweder ein etwas breiteres Bett (da wir zu Hause getrennt schlafen, war das eine Herausforderung, die wir aber vorher gelesen hatten und somit wussten und uns dran gewöhnten) oder eine ausklappbare Couch im Wohnzimmer als Fluchtmöglichkeit bei schnarchenden oder sich rumwälzenden Partnern. Der Fahrstuhl hat unseren Tagesabend regelmäßig so herrlich entschleunigt, weil er gaaaanz langsam fährt, wir kamen immer entspannt oben an *lach*, nachdem wir die 3 kurzen Straßen mit jeweils einer gefühlten 45° Steigung von der Metro zum Appartement bewältig hatten.

We had a wonderful stay at Baixa Apartments in Lisbon. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely vibe that made our time there truly special. It’s thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and has a charm that really stands out. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, which can be a bit of a climb with luggage, but honestly, the experience and overall feel of the place more than make up for it. A special mention to Pedro for being such a great host and making the stay smooth and pleasant. We would definitely recommend.

There was an elevator in the building, but unfortunately it wasn’t working during our stay—just our bad luck, I guess. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs.

I really enjoyed my stay at the apartment. The neighborhood was centrally located, lovely and peaceful, with lots of very nice restaurants and cafes around. The apartment was also conveniently located 3 min from Santa Apolonia train and metro station. Pedro was exceptionally nice and very quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend the place!
