Ajuda - Apartments

Apartment is a great size for 2 people. Facilities are good. Great shower. Rui was really nice and polite and let us check in late at no additional cost.

Bed uncomfortable and extremely noisy. Pillows are thin and only one provided per person.

The landlord was extraordinary helpful and accommodating when I had an accident and my mobility was impaired. A member of staff and the manager picked me up from the hospital and helped me back into my apartment and up the stairs. I was offered a replacement apartment on the ground floor for the rest of my stay. I didn't have to pay anything extra for this.

Some hooks on the walls for towels in the bathrooms are still missing. I reported this issue to the staff, so they hopefully have taken care of this already.

Apartment located in a nice and quite area of Belem district. Cleaned and well organized apartment. Well connected with the city center by local train. Station at about 10 minutes on foot. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and free parking available near there

What we liked - location was great with good accessibility to the Lisbon centre or to the train station to visit Cascais. Room was clean and the neighbours upstairs were not as loud as described in the other reviews. We liked that the apartment was not in a middle of tourist centre, so it was good to try local restaurants, also there was a local supermarket.

What we did not like - the bed. I think the bed is the most importnant piece of furniture if you are running a hotel bussines. We hated this one (cheap and foldout good for guest room to your house not for hotel room I think). It was very uncofortable and very loud. Everytime me or my girlfriend just slightly moved or turned on the other side this bed made terrible loud creaky sound so the other person was instantly awake. And every morning we've been waking up with a back pain as the bed was not comfortable. Please, buy a better bed.

The apartment is in a decent location. Very calm and pleasant neighborhood. Walking distance from Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower. The apartment was decently clean and equipped with mostly everything we needed. The host was extremely pleasant and responsive and allowed us to stay longer after checkout time due to out flight being late in the evening.

From what I was able to see from reading reviews to various accommodation options in Lisbon this seem to be an issue in a lot, if not all, apartments in the city. The sound insulation in the building is really bad. The neighbors can be heard loudly when doing mundane work, like walking or chatting, but this didn't bother us much as we didn't spend much time in the apartment as would be the case for most tourists. Also there is sometimes an unpleasant smell coming from the pipes in the kitchen and bathroom.

It's a very good location, really close to the bus stop and there are several markets close by. The beds are really comfortable, the toilet is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. There were three of us and it was not tight. It's really worth the money, it's a small, simple accommodation perfect for a few days stay.

This is not a negative but something the new guests should keep in mind - stares are really narrow and the neighbors can be really loud. This is not something that affected us greatly or something that the owners can affect, just something to keep in mind.
