The location couldn’t be better. There are plenty of lovely restaurants a very short walk away, and other food outlets on the same street. Thanks to the helpful talk the host Joao gave us when we arrived we managed to see the castle with barely a hill to climb, and he has loads of other useful information including places to eat and where is best to get on an uncrowded tram. The air conditioning works really well and quickly so that was welcome, even though we were there before the heatwave. The kitchen is well supplied with cleaning products including a washing machine and soap and there is everything you need to cook, although I had no intention of doing so. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of space in all the rooms although you have to mind your head a bit because of the sloping ceilings. The stairs (I think 86 plus a few more just inside the door!) are a workout, there’s no way around that, especially if you’ve had a hilly day, but they’re wide and easy enough to manage with landings if you really need a rest. Definitely not for anyone with mobility issues though. There’s a view and a tiny balcony out of each window although I don’t know what landmark I was supposed to be able to see. Just for info, as the listing is a bit unclear, bed linen and towels are included, the twin room has a bathroom just across the corridor which has a shower over the bath. The ensuite to the double bedded room has a walk in shower.

Great location, very clean and comfortable, host was very accommodating and provided lots of information about Lisbon.

Great location, good reception by the host with tips on the city and what to do. The apartment had everything we needed (washing machine was very appreciated). Despite being in the very center it was very quiet and since the beds were also good, we have slept very well.

Please be aware that there is no elevator.

Joao was an excellent host providing lots of local information that made our stay better. Location was great and is walk-able to lots of the local sites such as Castelo de São Jorge. Also has easy access to transit stations if you are looking to head out a little further such as Sintra.

You will be climbing steps to get up to the unit. The host is very clear about this fact, but if you have mobility issues this will be a challenge.

Nice top floor apartment, could be a great home Also, have to mention the host. He met us to receive our bags when we arrived early and then carried them up the stairs himself so they were waiting for us when the apartment was ready - GOLD STAR

The water pressure was a little low for the showers, and the furniture while in good condition was a little cheap.
