Penthouse Lisboa 204

Great location, very close to most tourist attractions in Lisbon. Helpful host.

It is a pen house on top floor, climb 86 steps with luggage. Roof is slanted, need to be careful to avoid bumping heads.

The host is super nice and responsive. He waited for me in front of the building and helped bring my luggage to the apartment on the 4th floor. He also provided information about the apartment, places to visit, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. The location of the apartment is perfect. It is centered and I could walk everywhere. The apartment is on the top floor and is in a small building with just a few apartments. It is spacious and bright. There is door from each room to a small balcony. The kitchen is nice and sufficient. There is a washing machine but I didn't use it. There is no elevator but I don't mind as I don't use elevators.

The beds are old so they make noise when you turn. The hot water is difficult to control. The place can do with some renovation which the owner plans to do this winter. It'd be great to add a door between the living room and the kitchen as the refrigerator is quite noisy. The apartment can use some new towels and pillows.

Great location near two different squares and tourist areas. Several food options close by and the souvenir/grocery was open late two doors down from the apartment. Our host had several recommendations for us that were perfect! He had a map and showed us where we were wanting to visit and where to catch the Tram without the crowds.

The Penthouse has no elevator. If you have heavy luggage, or buy groceries-it is five flights up.

Excellent location. Very clean and well stocked. Fabulous welcome with great tips regarding Lisbon! Our host was so helpful throughout the stay as well!!

This apartment is on the top floor and there is no lift. Also there is no hand rail and the steps are not easily demarcated— there is no safety strip on each tread. Whilst the dormer windows look cute initially, they become annoying after a short time , especially in the second bedroom where space is a premium. And stepping into the bath/ shower in the 2nd bathroom was difficult. So this apartment is not for anyone who isn’t able bodied.

The host Joao, was really helpful from the moment I booked the place, to the day we left. Joao, was there to receive us, help carry our bags up the 86 steps and then walked us through the amenities. He took the time to give us helpful tips on how to explore the city and surrounding areas and was very responsive and always available on WhatsApp.

Overall the place was great! A few suggestions for improvement. The two bathrooms could have used a few more hooks or bars to hang wet towels. The external bathroom had large black steps that led into the shower that got hard to walk down from after a shower. The kitchen could also have done with a towel hook.

The stairs were hard after a long day of walking!

A perfectly located spot with everything that you need. João is a wonderful host too.

We liked everything...even the 7 flights of stairs as we got our steps in for the day.

Location. Property is in a very central location.

Cleaning or lack of it should I say: - not very clean bed sheets ( a lot of stains on all sheets ) - the two bathrooms were stained with something white that we figured out to be cleaning solution that was never washed. - the kitchen had the same cleaning solution that was not washed The fridge in the kitchen has a problem and makes a lot of noise ( thermostate seems to be the problem from what I googled ) The apartment itself is way smaller than you would think looking at the pictures as the roof angle takes a lot of space. All in all for 200 euros/night this is not the place

Step at bottom of stairs could have done with a painted line on it as it was easy to overlook and we did trip over it a few times!
