Location and the property itself, conditions too. The flat looks good through the pictures, but in real life very old.

Good location- about 30 minutes walk from Lisbon centre

No sound proofing, so noisy when other guests were entering or leaving their apartment 😟 There is mould on the bathroom wall . The blinds in one of the rooms were broken.

It was so cold (colder than outside) that everyone is sick now

The location was far from the center and next to a jail. The hairdryer didn’t work and smoke came out of it. The iron was damaged and didn’t work properly. The hosts were unreachable and didn’t help at all. To check in we were supposed to call the hosts and get a code but it took a really long time as they didn’t pick up the phone.

Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Close to the city center.

Clean and cozy apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was new and/or hardly used.

It was a bit of a hassle to get the key. I arrived at night and had to call a couple of times to even get anyone on the phone, next it took the attendant a half hour to explain to me where and how to get the key from the lock box. Some basic things where not included, like a drying rack for your clothes and a coffee machine

The property was exceptionally clean, which was great, and loved the authentic feel of the place. Good location - about 20-30 minutes walk from Lisbon centre, depending on the pace, or a 5 minute taxi drive (if walking, would recommend turning right out of the building as the walk has a much gentler incline than if you turn left - walking back up and down that hill was not for the feint-hearted!). The sun terrace was lovely to sit out on in the morning and evenings. The response from the host to any queries was extremely quick and they were very helpful on each occasion we contacted them.

There were no instructions on how to use the security key to gain access to the apartment, which proved a bit of a nightmare on arrival. No air-con, which meant it was very hot at night. No sound proofing, so noisy when other guests were entering or leaving their apartments - earplugs helped there, though!
