The apartment itself is beautiful. The location is great. The kitchen has everything you need for a dinner in.

The day of arrival the elevator broke. Being on the 5th floor with 4 young children proved very challenging. Our ENTIRE stay, the elevator remained broken. Also the main bedroom bathroom STUNK SO BAD of sewer gas the entire room/bathroom couldn’t be used. Hubby and I slept in there on the first night but then had to rearrange sleeping configuration between our family of 6. Also for a 5 day stay more towels other than the 1 bath towel per person would be helpful.

Nicely renovated apartment on the top floor of a building in a great location near the center of the city and the river. The cab we booked at the airport left before we arrived, so we had to book another ride which caused the person meeting us at the apartment to wait. But this was done without complaint and he was very congenial to show us the important features before he left. The apartment was clean, bright, had good A/C, and very nice bathrooms. Nespresso machine (with some capsules there to start the next day), large fridge and sufficient kitchen utensils for the four of us. The elevator comes right into the apartment, or one can take the stairs. The host company was responsive and communicative before our stay. We had no contact with the host company during our stay and left the apartment clean and on time.

The primary complaint and reason we would not stay here again was the entire apartment smelled like sewage. I think the host who met us at the apartment opened the top terrasse skylight to help air out the apartment but the smell was really awful for all four days. And this is on the 5th floor! I believe this type of issue should have been addressed by property management immediately. The apartment is in an excellent location, but part of that is the fact that there are many bars on the street below and people were on the street talking and playing music until 4am. And the sound came right into the apartment. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to this. The windows would not stay open without some sort of prop, which made it difficult to bring air inside the apartment when the temperature was nice or to get rid of the smell. The final concern is that entering and exiting the building and apartment is done via one set of keys (building entrance, elevator, and apartment). This is a problem if people are not leaving and returning at the same time, i.e. guests become locked into the building, which is not great in case of a fire or other problem. The property listing mentioned a keyless entrance, but on the day of arrival when we should have received a code, we were told that the entry system was not working and that someone would meet us at the apartment. In fact, this system did not exist at all for this apartment. There is a large metal flange attached to the entrance door to the building, presumably to keep people from sitting on the doorstep and blocking the door. However, this is something that requires care as it is easy to open the door on top of your feet or kick this flange and injure your feet. One of our party did exactly this in the morning leaving. Lastly, the booking system used by the Lovely Stay has a very annoying feature that sends reminders to guests every day before they arrive. Not sure why this bug still exists but it was annoying.

The apartment is well located, within easy reach of the city center (Comercio Square). There are many restaurants nearby as well. The apartment is nicely decorated and bright. It has everything you might need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine and dishwasher.

One of the bathrooms is missing a hook for the shower, and having a bath there is very uncomfortable. Some towel hooks are missing in that bathroom, and the main door's key is very tricky.

The apartment was cozy and spacious. The location was good, but it was very noisy at night (close to Pink Street). I liked that the apartment has a small rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the river.

The apartment can accommodate more people, but for our family of five, there were only four sets of bed linens and towels. We stayed in the apartment for five nights, but there was only one dishwasher tablet and one laundry capsule available. Maybe it's common, but we haven't encountered such a thing while traveling before.

There was not enough detail about how to find the key box and the owners were not easily reachable by phone when we got there.
