Location was good

When I booked the apartment, I was asked to transfer the amount for the stay and a deposit of 250 Euros, which would be returned after the stay. We were a bit uneasy as when I booked I had not seen this clause. I thought I must have missed it so we decided to send the money. We thought we would give it in cash so that we could get it back when we left but Primo(owner) said he would only transfer it back via bank even if we sent him cash, so we decided we would do a bank transfer on everything. When we checked out, Primo was not there and we handed over the keys to a caretaker, after some time I got a message from Primo saying we extensively damaged a door and he would not give back the deposit. We went back to check the door and found some scratches at head or shoulder level and he claimed we had hit the door with the luggage and damaged it, which we did not. we had soft bags and no luggage that could cause scratches. We said the allegations are baseless and Primo said he will talk to an Artigan to see how much it would cost. We said we could fix it as it was only minor paint blotches as we knew we were being scammed and he wanted to take our money. He duly declined. I escalated the issue to Booking and they sided with me and said I did not have to even pay the deposit as that clause was added a few days after I booked and the claims are invalid. Primo on one side threatened me with a 1200 Euro invoice for a door that he made this invoice in his invoicing platform stating that the door needed to be taken down, sandblasted, and repainted. All this for minor scratches and we have to pay for not even doing it in the first place. I even asked for images of the door from before we stayed, along with details of when the picture was taken, I was provided with a blurry image of the door and no timestamp on when it was taken and he just said I have to trust him. I spent 3 weeks behind this issue to get back the deposit which booking.com finally had to pay back.

We had an amazing stay at la Coppola! The apartment is spacious, very clean and well equipped for longer stays. Also the location was amazing, be it for Padova’s sights or bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Special thanks for having filled the fridge so we didn’t have to worry about breakfast the first day. We would definitely book it again.

Apartmant was very cosy and spacious. Kitchen Is well equiped. Location Is the best, few minutes of walking to the centre.

The host is friendly. The Cathedral is within easy walking distance.

Good location, walk to center in 10 minutes. Supermarket walkable within 6 minutes. Apartment is large, bright, excellent WIFI, little breakfast food in the fridge, host is very nice and helpful.

No wine glasses, no sharp knives in kitchen. TV stations only in italian, so no internationl channels available. No outdoor furniture on balcony.

Lovely apartment for our extended family group. Great to have two bathrooms. Primo was a great host and very attentive.
