The apartment is very spacious and well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. It is not central, but only about a 20-minute walk to the center and the Scrovegni chapel.

The host met us and took us into the apartment, and then told me that my Visa credit card was not a credit card. I had already changed to a different Visa credit the previous day having had a notification saying the same thing. I called my Visa company to check there had been no fraudulent charges on either card. The host meanwhile refused to accept my card and also explained that he couldn't take a debit card. However he then accepted my friend's debit card under the impression it was a credit card. We wasted an hour like this. Later in the afternoon, he texted to say my friend's debit card was no use but he was accepting my credit card - with no apology for wasting our time. It was an unpleasant beginning to our stay in Padova.
