Great owner, clean apartment, good equipment, comfy beds

Nice apartment, good location. The host was really nice and told us everything about the city and recomended the best way to see the most of it.

The train rail is just under the bedroom and the sound of trains can be pretty annoying in the morning.

This appartment is perfect to visit the wonderful Matera. The owner met us to give us the keys. He gave us very useful tips and explained us everything about the appartment. The city center is only a 15 minutes walk from the appartment. Close to it there's a wonderful shop with fresh pasta!

1) What stood out for me was the effort the host took to explain the workings & appliances in the apartment, the places to eat, the sights to visit to his guest. I hardly spoke a word of Italian & his English was equally poor, but with the help of Google translator, the message was conveyed. 2) The briefing he gave us on the sights to visit in Matera would put a tour guide to shame. 3) The pizza express place he recommended was so good we had dinner there every single night of our stay. 4) The cherry to top it all was when i asked him how to get to the station to catch our train back to Rome, he offered to drive us there. Now, that's called going the extra mile for your guest. I have travelled quite abit around the world all these years & if i had to vote for the best host I ever encountered, it had to be him. You have done Matera & Italy proud!

1) In spite of his very detailed briefing which lasted almost half an hour, he forgot to brief us on how to operate the heaters, so the rooms & bathroom was cold. But the high quality comforters & blankets he provided mitigated the situation. 2) We struggled abit trying to get to the town center & back as we couldn't remember where the bus stop was & the number of the bus to take, but with google map & abit of help from the locals we made it to our tour & back.

The host is super helpful and nice, showed what to visit on a map and gave perfect recommendations

neighbours a bit noisy

The location of the apartment, the size of the rooms are excellent. Bathrooms and the kitchen are very new and clean. Everything at home is working fine ( Coffe-machine,stove). Internet was fast. Toilet paper, tea bags, coffee capsules, soap etc is provided more than you may need.So we really liked it. The host was very helpful providing services even that there was not on Booking. (like the iron). Totally recommend the property.

very easy to find and close to old Matera. Host was extremely accommodating and pointed out all the points of interest in Matera (which was fascinating to say the least!). Clean large apartment with everything we needed and more. Beds very comfortable! Parking in the street is free and available.
