Nice location and excellent apartment

Could increase cooking utensils such as a adding frying pans and bowls.

Area is quiet. Close to bus stop and grocery store. We were allowed to check in early.

Strong smell of cigarette just when you enter the apartment building. No lift. Bed sheets and pillow cases were not ironed and already very old. No microwave. Not enough pots and pans, no chopping board....difficult to prepare/cook your meals when the idea of staying in an apartment is so you can cook your own meals to save some money from eating out especially in this part of Switzerland. Poor lighting in the shower room. Staff takes a long time to respond. Worst of it all, staff came unannounced in the evening to collect city tax, and that was after 9pm when we were all ready to go to bed. Even if it's their property,. it is quite disrespectful, alarming, threatening to the occupants to just turn up just like that. Also to note...the bus service from Interlaken Ost to Matten ends after 7pm and it's about 20 minutes walk so bear that in mind if you are travelling with someone with mobility issue or you are carrying heavy stuff.

A crypt that has not been cleaned for a long time. Insects and spiders are constantly moving under the bed, ceiling and sink. Very disrespectful staff who behave harshly. I booked here based on the unrelated photos. I called the person in charge and he said that's the way it is, with a family and a small child, you have no other choice after delivery, so please never choose.

This is a nice budget place with easy access to points of interest via nearby stops for buses 104 and 105. A staff member collected the city tax and gave us the city pass. A grocery store and a few restaurants are located within a few minutes walking distance, which was a big plus. Note that the room has three little beds, which differs from the description Everything was functional and there was enough storage for our luggage. The bedroom was spacious. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom was a bit small and there was no microwave.

Property was slightly farther that I had initially thought.m from the downtown area.

The owner / property manager was less than ideal. He wanted me to pay a 3 day city tax and he felt like the best time to do that was unannounced on several locations but I wasn’t there. He then scheduled a broken window to be fixed first thing in the morning the day I was leaving. I had two strangers show up to the place and I had no idea who I was. Didn’t like this experience at all. Felt very strange.
