Cardinal Massaia Venice Apartment

I felt like home. Needless to say more, I guess. Very clean, very spacious. The host was very kind and polite. The commute to Venice is very convenient.

Everything was perfect. Oh, maybe one little inconvenience – you have to carry out your own waste bags to the waste containers which are like 5 mins away from the apartment and you have to use the key for the container, which means, you cannot grab the garbage bags just when leaving the apartment – you have to come back to the apartment and leave the key.

All in all everything was good and the host was always in touch with me, but we had to wait for the keys outside for around 30 minutes, because there were some complications with the check-in guy. And if we were without a baby that wouldn't be too bad. But eventually another guy came and helped us to check in. Everyone was really friendly, the location is amazing, very central, close to the bus station and supermarkets. The apartment is clean. In general, I love Mestre and we enjoyed our stay there. Even if you want to walk in the evening, it's safe and nice.

There were lots of mosquitoes in the flat and the repellers were in every room. But what's the point of having them there if they were all empty:) At first you think, it's so nice, the host is caring, but then it's a bit sad. There are 2 options in my opinion, either don't offer at all, or if you offer, then don't pretend that you're offering:) And there was one more unpleasant thing for me, because I always book flats where there are coffee machines. It could be a mistake made by booking or by host, I have no idea, but there was a certain misunderstanding. I have right now checked and the information is updated on booking, which is good and other people won't be confused as I was. It was written both coffee maker and coffee machine when I was booking, and of course it was confusing. I expected to find coffee machine there. I was a bit disappointed, but there were cafes nearby and every morning I would go to buy coffee there.

Apartment was lovely and very clean!

The shower was so little and the shower head was hard to figure out! The train station was an 11 minute walk and train to Venice city from there

Apartment is located in convenient location, about 500 meters from bus stop to Venice. It was very comfortable to come back after late night visit to Venice. Rooms are spaceful and convenient with the family. Giovani is very kind host, preparing for visit and providing usefull tips about visiting Venice.

Good value for money. Decent facilities. Very nice an helpful host.

Electricity issues: power goes down when trying to cook and use air-conditioning at the same time

The apartment is conveniently located for the centre of Mestre and their are supermarkets nearby. Very easy to get bus to Venice from stop a few minutes walk away

The apartment is rather gloomy and has no good view out. Although it had an iron there was no ironing board
