"Mestre, Venezia"

5 minute walk from Mestre train station, although the area itself was not completely desirable. 20 mins walk to Mestre centre, but just 2 mins walk to 4L bus stop for Venice (tickets sold in tobacco shop over the road) or the jumbo Spar shop. Ample space in the apartment. Francesco may us in time for check in and allowed us to drop off bags as we arrived to early (was being cleaned at the time). All facilities were good. 4 bins for recycling different things, very good to see.

Address is 132, not 138, so would not have found it easily, but for Francesco seeing us looking lost! Bathroom door needs some WD-40 as quite creeky. Couldn't get the TV to come on, but could have just been dead batteries in the remote control.

the best host!! took us to the airport in the middle of the night after taxi didn't arrive! good location - few minutes walk to a bus station that drives about 10 minutes to Venice large apartment Mcdonalds is 2 minutes walk

no A/C not the best neighborhood old building
