Amazing river view in historical Lisbon

Location was excellent, beautiful view. Kitchen was well equipped, decent space for a family with grandparents.

It was a bit dusty and the floor had alot of dust. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and bumpy. A bit inconvenient for older people to climb the steep stairs but not that big of an issue

We had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic apartment in Lisbon, and I can't say enough good things about it. The location is superb, and it offers a unique experience of the city. The soundscapes from the local residents and the distant melodies of Fado music, combined with the majestic presence of cruise ships, create a vibrant atmosphere. The daily view of those large cruise ships is a spectacle you won't get tired of. The internet connection works fine, for 1 person streaming or multiple persons surfing. But youre not in Lisbon to watch Netflix, right? The layout of the apartment is good. The living room and and room with bunk beds are at one end, while the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom are at the other. Communication with Helena and Sofia via WhatsApp or Booking.com is seamless, and they provide a folder in the apartment with useful information. We must mention that there are some steep stairs to reach the apartment, so it might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. However, the reward for climbing those stairs is a great view.

Great location and lovely balcony views

The apartment indeed had a lovely view and it was thoughtfully decorated. Although there was no air conditioning (only a fan on the ceiling in the bedroom) it was decent in the heat because of the draft from the French balcony. The apartment is relatively small as Alfama apartments are but there was everything we needed and it was comfortable for a family.

The housekeeper whom we had to contact in order to get the keys doesn't speak English. Luckily we managed in French.

Sofia (host) was wonderful in suggesting luggage storage services since we arrived early in the morning. Morning coffee with a view was the highlight of the day. Location is the best - the apartment has every single thing you need to make it a memorable stay

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like

The location was really awesome, nice and easy walk to the centre. The lady that met us was super nice and friendly. There is a baby chair, we even got a baby towel and baby bath. We got a complimentary bottle of wine. As we travelled in March and there is no heating in the flat (logically in a hot country), we got one extra electric heater on demand (one was there already). This is nice and beyond the expectations.

The door handle in one room doesnt work, for a while we thought we are locked in :D. The baby chair, while fair bc used by kids, was very dirty, it was a bummer a bit I had to clean it that much before daring to put my baby in it (still - cool they had a baby chair). The oven had some broken bits too. The house is awesome, the lady very nice, the view amazing, but the flat has been attacked by some guests by now - for example Elias who wrote his name on the window before he left :D. The sofa has seen better times. I hesitate to write this as the lady that met us was just adorable and such a nice person and I feel this will overwrite this experience - the flat is great for everybody who understands how kids can influence your cleanliness bar.
