Charming Apartment in Alfama

Ein sehr schönes Apartment mit allem was man braucht. Theoretisch könnte man dort mit 6-8 Personen dort leben. Die Altstadt Alfama ist wunderschön mit sehr guten und günstigen Möglichkeiten essen zu gehen. Wir werden wiederkommen :)

Eine Spülmaschine hat gefehlt. Das ist aber eher ein Luxusproblem

Konut çok temizdi. Konumu mükemmeldi.

It gets quite loud outside in the evenings because of restaurants and a public square outside, so might not be ideal if you go to bed early or have a child.

The property provides us with welcoming sweets.

On the Booking website, it was mentioned that check-in is open from 4 pm, and check-out is from 8-11 am. However, after completing the reservation and two days before arriving at the accommodation, we were contacted by the property and told that we had to pay 20 euros in cash if we were to check in after 9 pm, and 30 euros in cash if we were to check in after midnight. These additional fees were not clear and were not mentioned in the property policies before the time of reservation, but were mentioned by the property host after completing the reservation and paying the accommodation amount.

Location was fabulous, great for wandering around Alfama and all the other sights in Lisbon. Enjoyed the view of the square from the balconies. Spacious bedrooms. Host very communicative and sent helpful recommendations.

Bathroom needs a little updating

Lovely quaint apartment in a great location. Surprisingly quiet even though it’s the center of the old town.

The electricity grid just cannot take a normal amount of usage. We experienced 6-8 power trips during our stay here. Also, the toilet seat & kitchen tap are a bit broken, a lot of the appliances in the kitchen don’t work (bread toaster & oven toaster), the rubbish bin in the kitchen is a bit broken too. Some of the small heaters we were provided with didn’t work. Ultimately I understand and sympathise that it’s an old apartment in the old town. I get that there are things difficult to change. But it’s not pleasant to have to deal with many broken things while on holiday.

Wonderful location in the Alfama. Close to transport and eateries.

Two flights of steep stairs to enter the apartment. Keys that were difficult to use - some of us couldn’t open the doors at all.
