La Casetta

Very nice property with parking and close to restaurants

A little noisy with banging from neighbouring properties, but that’s not the owners fault. The bed was the only thing that wasn’t great

We will happily join the litany of guest who were beyond satisfied with La Casetta. A private parking spot, as central as it is possible to be with a view of the side of the Cattedrale, and a kitchen filled with goodies for breakfast and dinner. Ettore and Teresa were delightful. We stayed for two nights and wish we had opted for another. La Casetta was by far the best value for money of all the places we stayed in during our two-week holiday in Calabria.

Okay, if we must: the very tight spiral staircase between floors. We are seniors - need I say more?

Everything but the most location location location

Much bigger than I expected, a proper little house, and super central. Well equipped kitchen with food provided for a do-it-yourself breakfast. Could easily have spent longer than the 2 nights we had. Parking right outside (a reserved space for the property), which I imagine is a huge bonus in high season. Owner was v helpful and everything was very smooth!

Friendly hosts, very central, very comfortable apartment that made you feel a little like a local, great bed, super quiet.

Not much. Could use a small desk lamp. It is also tricky to find and car access into the area is even trickier. (our GPS seriously disliked all routings!!) But in the end, well worth the effort!

This place is a gem - charming decor, great location (close to the main piazza and church, but tucked away quietly around the side), a great kitchen which was stocked with lots of baked treats for our breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. It was a great home-away-from-home for our visit to this interesting hill town, and an excellent value.

One annoying mosquito.

This apartment is in a great location to explore the center of lovely Gerace. It has everything you need including a reserved parking spot in front of the door. The hosts were very welcoming and generous with food including a homemade local specialty snack

The property is just perfect in a lot of ways. Owners were awesome, facilities and additions were great. Thoughtful inclusions of food etc

Leaving

The vacation apartment is located right in Gerace next to the cathedral. The apartment is two floors with a lovely dining area stocked with olive oil from the owner’s farm and all sorts of yummy treats for breakfast. The owner even reserves a parking place for his guests!

Nothing-a guest must have the mobility to climb up and down the spiral staircase to enjoy both floors of the apartment.
