The location is great, right in the center of Madrid, fully equipped kitchen.

I have received multiple emails about the apartment prior arrival, which was a bit annoying, we also had to install the app to do the online check in and to be able to get to the apartment (virtual key). The app itself has very little information and is not very helpful. Moreover, it actually provided wrong information. We were told that we have the virtual key, and that we open the door with the app. In reality, when we arrived, we could not access the appartment so we called the customer service and they told us that we have the physical key. I asked to send someone over with the key, and they explained that they will do that, but it will take them 30mins. After a little while, they called us back only to say that we needed to get to their office to pick up the key ourselves. This is very really annoying after all the travel, and we were with a toddler. The office was located 8min walking distance from the apartment, and yet, no one from the staff was willing to just drop by and give us the key. Another annoying thing is that they charge the deposit of 200eur, but they do not lock the amount on the card, but you actually do a transfer. They have it back to us after a week or so, but the amount was smaller due to the conversion (we do not use euro). When we entered the apartment it was smelly with the cleaning products. It is also a bit loud from the staircase.

It was an interior apartment, so it was very quiet for the busy neighbourhood.

I received a lot of emails to download the app to open the door but when I arrived we got to know that we needed the physical keys. In reality it was easy to pick up keys but emails and instructions re the app were super long to read. I was worried about the deposit but it was returned back as promised. The shower had a very very bad smell coming out of the hole. We had to keep bathroom closed at all times. The negatives did not effect our stay. It was still exceptional.

Great location. Kitchen had all the amenities I needed. Comfy bed. Spacious compared to other European flats.

Picking up keys was a hassle. The property management emailed to download an app for an alleged electronic entry that asked for a copy of my passport and sensitive information. However, eventually I had to pick up the keys offsite from the apt. Outside of that rough start, I would just note that the water in the shower would overflow in the rest of the bathroom.
