"Good location for exploring"

7.0

Host was lovely and friendly and welcoming. Good layout in the 1 bedroom apartment and good kitchen facilities. We came by train and easy to find. A supermarket about 10-15 minutes walk away and the apartment felt very secure. Good value for what you get.

WiFi only worked in the kitchen/living area. I found the apartment noisy as on the other side of the apartment is a neighbours car park and their front door so it wasn't quiet with their comings and goings . Nothing the host can control.

"Truly exceptional"

10.0

This apartment is truly a gem! The location is perfect, situated in a prime area with easy access to all the amenities you could need. The interior is beautifully designed, with modern furnishings and stylish decor that create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. But what truly sets this apartment apart is the host. The host went above and beyond to ensure that our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. From providing helpful tips on local attractions to being responsive to any needs or concerns, the host truly makes us feel at home.

"It was an overall good stay"

Rosario was very friendly. The room was comfortable.

We needed to put the perfumed incense sticks out on the porch because my husband is very sensitive to perfumes. We had to unlock several gates to get to the room and out of the room.

The apartment is a short walk from the Pompei train station (ca. 10 min). The host was waiting for us and let us in immediately, even though we were about 15min early. The host was clear, open and friendly in her communication and she was careful to ask us about our plans to visit Pompeii Scavi - I think to check that we would not fall victim to scammers operating in the area. Super helpful: the host even gave us a one-page map of the ruins and there were several pamphlets in the apartment that inspired a trip out to Sorrento by train and a glorious day wandering along the coast amid olive and citrus groves. Lovely apartment that is set back from the road so as to reduce traffic noise. Comfortable bed in a room with a high ceiling and privacy screening, nicely designed bathroom area with good ventilation, small kitchenette that was helpful for cooling drinks and would be fine for reheating take out (there's a microwave) and other quick meals or snacks; we enjoyed the local pizzerias and cafes and so did not use the kitchenette. There is a great little unassuming cafe nearby, on the corner of Via Antonio Morese and Via Sant'Abbondio, where we had the best coffee of our entire trip.

This is nothing to do with the apartment but I do want to give others a small heads up about Pompei in general. First off, the Circumvesuviana train line (stopping at Pompeii Scavi station) is not nearly as comfortable as the Trenitalia line (stopping at Pompei station). For some reason every person I spoke to at Napoli Centrale/Piazza Garibaldi assumed that we wanted to catch the Circumvesuviana line, but we were staying near Pompei station and wanted to enter the ruins via the entrance near the amphitheatre so it made much more sense to catch the Trenitalia train and get out at Pompei. There are a few scams running in the Pompei area so it's a good idea to do some research in advance. We had purchased the tickets to Pompeii Scavi through the official ticket office online (www.ticketone.it), which requires knowing the day you want to go in advance; we went on a Thursday late in March and entered just after 9am, before it got busy - this allowed us the whole day to wander around the ruins and to skip some of the crowds. We had learned from online discussion forums that scammers will try to steer tourists away from the Piazza Immocolata entrance (near the amphitheatre) toward the Piazza Porta Marina entrance. All entrances work so don't be fooled by the official-looking uniforms the scammers are wearing!
