Sweet House and Apartment

Bed was SUPER comfortable. Easy walking distance to everything in the city. Kitchen gave me what I needed for a short stay. Host was very friendly, only interacted with his dad (that was a surprise, but fine), both were kind. The loft apartment is incorporated into the family home, but you have your own private entrance. Again, a surprise but fine. Never felt I didn't have privacy. I know parking is a frequent complaint but the instructions are clear. First time I paid parking in the lot closest, only a 7-minute walk. Then I chose a free but further spot - still only 10-12 min walk but I was either walking or had an organized tour planned so I didn't need my car. It's an old old lovingly preserved city. Expecting access by car is ridiculous. Adjust your expectations and enjoy it.

Partly my own fault; the booking profile has photos of multiple properties; I didn't quite go through the 20+ photos and thus the property I was provided was different than I expected - the loft rather than a same-floor bedroom. Generally, the loft is fine, I am physically capable and a solo traveler, but it was an unexpected surprise and the ladder was something to navigate, especially trying to carry anything up and down. The challenge of traveling at the end of the summer, it's hot. There was only once a/c unit - in the bedroom- so, most appreciated location, but as heat rises, the main floor was hot and uncomfortable most of the day. Since I spent most of the day out of the property and, traveling alone, I just spent my time in the bedroom, it wasn't a huge impact, just a data point. While I provided my arrival time, no one was present when I arrived and I had to wait a bit after messaging for someone to meet me.

The apartment is in the absolute perfect location. It has two great rooms for sleeping, two ACs, a nice open concept living room/kitchen with just about everything you might need and the terrace has a breathtaking view. Everything was perfect.

The amazing balcony! The smallest appartment is very cosy and located in the heart of Rovinsj, in the most beautiful street. Everything is nearby and the owner is very kind and helpfull, you can ask him anything! Their is AC, since it's very hot in summer.

The property is a short walking distance to all main attractions in Rovinj. The hosts are friendly, and the property itself comes with a fantastic balcony to enjoy a few glasses of wine watching the sunset. We highly recommend staying at Sweet House!

My only concern would be that I don't recall when i booked that it was a steep ladder to the bedroom. While it was fine and we could manage it, I might not have booked it knowing that and would just caution anyone on that.
