Dimore Verona - Residenza San Zeno Apartments

My rating would have been higher if it weren’t for the behavior of the managers of the accommodation facility and the unauthorized write-off of funds that violated the terms of the signed agreement.

in order: key pick-up at the office near the Castelvecchio fortress, but it is very difficult to park a car in the parking lot near the office - there are no free spaces. Parking near the apartment for one car - on the street for free with a city pass sticker, for the second car in the underground garage for 10 euros per day. the apartment is cold and damp. when we set the temperature to 24 degrees, the floors heated up to such a temperature that there was nothing to breathe with our nose and our feet were burning. There are no central heating batteries. There were no remote controls for the air conditioners. When leaving the apartment, we left the trash in a trash can in a special compartment in the kitchen (in the closet), and the property wrote off 50 euros from my card. At the same time, the contract indicates a cleaning cost of 85 euros. The trash is always removed by the staff of the accommodation facility in all hotels and apartments. Moreover, this is household waste that was in a garbage bag, in a garbage can. I think this is a bad method of earning money from clients. There are no such clauses in the contract, which means this is a violation of the terms of the contract.

Modern apartment with a very good air conditioning system (pretty convenient in the middle of summer!). Kitchen is fully equipped, we managed to cook some of our meals in Verona in there. We were a group of 9 and booked two contiguous apartments on the same building, both apartments had pretty similar features. There is a washing machine which was a nice find. The 2 bedroom apartment (zeno1 on via Scarcellini 19) has a dishwasher, but the 1 bedroom one (zeno1 on the above address) hasn't. Staff is very nice and helpful, all our queries were answered on time

As many have mentioned before, the process of picking the keys in person in another adds some difficulties - especially when you are arriving with luggage

The location was great, many food spots in the area, nearby there is a free parking, also a rentable/lockable parking, the property was accessible, the flat is a large open space.

The electricity was weirdly wired, the couch was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise, the tv turned on in the middle of the night.

Good location close to centre. Staff agency organised and helpful.

Poor quality furniture and no light in the apartment.

The place was too small for 5 people. We had to sleep with the doors open or else the rooms got very hot. No AC in the bedrooms. The bathroom had a sliding door so we could HEAR and SMELL everything. The shower was way too small. Uncomfortable place.

The location of the property is very good. It is around 5min from the city center. Enough big for four people. The bathroom is clean and spacious

The air condition was terrible. The machine was working but the air was hot. It was a ventilator not a real air conditioner. We sent a message to the staff they said that somebody checked it. But it was the same hot. We cannot sleep well because of the hot and mosquitoes. There weren’t mosquito net.

The process of getting the keys is quite long and cumbersome. There is a pre-check-in online, but then additional signatures/checks are requested in person. Unnecessary long. Additional 25 EUR fee for pets and additional 100 EUR deposit, beyond what paid on Booking.com.

The apartment is spacious, clean and well placed

We were on the ground floor, so the apartment was a bit dark and there was no way to open curtains because otherwise everyone from street would see inside. Furthermore there were bars on all windows and the view is either on the street or on the parking so nothing particularly charming. Also kitchen is equipped but rather basic. Those are details, but at the end that's what counts, for example we were missing glasses for wine or at least coffee for the coffee machine.
