和宿 湯沢チャオ Wayado Yuzawa Ciao

Location was great as it was only a 3 mins walk to Echigo Yuzawa Station. It apartment was clean, it was not noisy, and there was ample things provided. The host was very responsive and friendly, even giving snacks and a small bottle of sake to welcome. It was great to be able to live in a more traditional japanese apartment. I stayed alone which made the price slightly high for me but it is perfect if you have 2-3 people.

Just a few small things that is tolerable but frustrated me a little. The sofa was a little dirty, there is no hand towel by the sinks, I could not find the rack to dry my clothes after washing them (I could have asked them for help but made do with some hangers and the chair), and the water temperature of the sink taps was inconsistent (this frustrated me the most as it was still winter, but the sink taps go from freezing cold to boiling hot in an instant and there isn't a sweet spot for warm water which frustrated me)

We enjoyed our stay at Wayado Yuzawa Ciao. The little apartment had everything our family needed. It was cozy and clean. well located. The host was kind and communication was easy.

Excellent location being 5 min walk from train station, plenty of facilities such as washer, dryer, stove, heater. Easy check in and check out procedure.

Place is a bit small especially if travelling with luggages

It’s cozy, clean and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities needed for a family with kids. Super near train station. The ski rental shop recommended by the host was perfect as staff were nice, super punctual and helpful.

The apartment was 5 minutes on foot from the station. It was a great base for snowboarding in the area. It was clean, convenient, and had everything we needed. The hosts even gave us a mini bottle of nihonshu to welcome us.
