Chiltern Holiday apartments

We arrived in the morning so rang ahead and was told that the apartment was ready which was a bonus before we had even arrived. (None of the rubbish about paying extra for early check in, if it’s ready, it’s ready) We managed to park right outside so another bonus. We checked in 2 doors away at the owners’ guest house where we found Jools and John to be very friendly and welcoming. John took us to apartment No 1 and showed us everything that we needed to know about the place. We are very impressed with all aspects of the apartment and I think that it looks even better than the advertised photos. We are here on the best Bank Holiday you could wish for with regard to the weather, its forecast to be 31 deg today so we asked if the apartment is available for another night and it is so yet another bonus. Thank you Jools and John; you are perfect hosts and it’s clear to see why you get such good reviews.

Nice and clean with everything we needed for our stay

The size of the apartment was great. The design and decor was really nice. The kitchen was well equipped. The location was perfect. The parking permit available was very handy. The staff/owners were very helpful and friendly and always available if you needed anything.

The room didn't seem like it was soundproof like advertised as I could hear everything from the other rooms quite clearly, like the chatting, snoring at night etc. some parts of the apartment were very clean and some parts had been missed. I found toenail cuttings on the sofa and hairs and dust in drawers/shelves but everything else was spotless.

Great location for exploring, easy check in at the B&B two doors up. Parking £5 for a permit for four days, which was great. John ensures that you know how to use everything in the apartment. Apartment was clean and tidy with everything you could need for a break away.

There was a problem with the WiFi, and as the TV was through the internet, we couldn't watch any TV for our stay. We informed the owners who informed us that as it was the weekend they couldn't do anything, which seemed odd as I'm sure Sky work weekends. Not a major problem but a bit annoying.

Everything was very clean, host explained everything in the appartment, provided everything you would need was able to contact them if we had a problem, was able to book to have breakfast in the the b&b,

Could do with some sort of shelf i the shower to put shower gel and shampoo, also a mirror in the bedroom near a plug to be able to dry hair.

Very clean with all the things you need provided. Comfortable and cosy. Nice and bright. Friendly, helpful landlord two doors away.

The only thing missing was hooks on the bathroom door, and possibly a shelf in the shower... Very minor issues.

We were on the top floor of the apartments, about 48 steps up to it, it was very clean, bed was really comfy, lots of storage space on the apartment. We opted for breakfast in the morning at the Chiltern Hotel and it was very good, lovely dining room bright and airy.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Couldn't of asked for anything more from John and Jools accommodation. Everything was spot on from start to finish. Will definitely return again. Thank you
