A superb apartment - very modern with great facilities. The kitchen was lovely and the flat felt very spacious. Ideally located and the car parking space is a bonus.

Nothing - although I would have felt better if the main door to the block had done sort of lock/ security.

The apartment was in a central location very close to all amenities like shops, pubs, cafes and public transport links . It was clean ,well furnished in a style suitable for a holiday let ( modern bright and airy). Good stacked kitchen with everything you need although we brought lots of our own stuff with us as a Christmas break and did not want to be left without ( was not needed as lots of cleaning materials, utensils, etc).Wifi was good and managed to work out heating and t.v which had freeview channels. Good communication with staff over stay as needed.Hot shower, comfy bed and quiet neighborhood.

Hidden extras in pricing as damage waiver/ insurance and being able to check in earlier than 4 p.m had additional fees. I do think this new check in time of 4 p.m is very unfair as a day is gone . The additional fees should be included in stated price so you know everything is covered you have the insurance and can check in from 2 p.m. Other lets include insurance and you can park before check in at no extra cost. Front door to building don't lock from outside ( keys don't work as lock damage)and from reviews seems to be an issue and risk of being locked out if another resident locks door from inside.as latch hooks into frame on inside only.

We found the heating difficult to get to terms with

The property was modern, clean, comfortable, very roomy, and the Christmas tree and tasteful decorations were a lovely touch (including stockings on the bedroom doors!) First-floor flat, so only two short sets of stairs to climb for this one and everything was provided: clean towels, clean bedding, body wash/soap, all the appliances you would need including tea/coffee/sugar and even a Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine, which we didn't use, but nice to have the option. The only thing we didn't have was a washcloth/sponge to wash dishes (we bought one quite cheaply), but there is a dishwasher in the apartment with a couple of tablets if you were eating in a lot, we didn't use this as we ate out most of the time. An EE Freeview box was available to watch with the option to sign into your Netflix account as well. Bedrooms were comfy and clean with plenty of space to hang clothes. Hosts were very helpful, and they got back to me very quickly via messages when I was confused about which building we were in, and when I was worried about the car parking space being small. The parking space is fine as long as you take your time when parking, as it is a little snug (I had a Vauxhall Mokka and didn't have too much of a problem). Very easy 10-minute walk into Whitby centre which was ideal. Would definitely book again!

It was hard to get the apartment to a comfortable temperature, especially the bedrooms, which didn't feel quite warm enough. Although the thermostat in the living/dining area was reading 19 degrees, it just didn't feel that warm. However, we didn't feel too cold either, and for some reason, the bathroom was always the warmest room in the apartment! The frying pan had seen better days. We didn't use it, but if you like a fry-up in the morning, maybe take your own!
