Host & Stay - Bagdale Rise

The location was excellent and the apartment was comfortable and spacious. The facilities were excellent, with plenty of towels for the weekend.

The parking space was very tight and if you have a large car it's a challenge.

Everything was clean and well presented and in a great location

There was nothing we did not like. Although we would recommend advising customers on the size of the parking space. We have a big car and was tricky to get in the allocated parking space.

We arrived to access the key from the key safe, which was fine. Unfortunately the key wouldn’t open the exterior door , which lead to 4 apartments. We called booking.com and they said they’d get back to us. Half an hour later they called and requested we went for a drink. We had to repack our cases in the car and then went for a drink.Eventually we were told that a lock smith would come in an hour or so. The locksmith told us he’d been out to this property a month earlier for the same problem. We got into the property 3 hours later. We’ve waited 6 weeks for this to be resolved - nothing !!

Centrally located, very well presented property, comfortable, clean everything was catered for. Bonus of a parking space, would stay again..

Check in/Check out times could be more generous

The property was in a great location and had everything that you would need such as towels, kitchen utensils and WiFi. The apartment was a good size and had free parking.

The cleanliness was definitely not up to my standard. There was dirty utensils, hairs in the bath, dirt on the tiles and around the rim of the toilet and it looked like it hadn't been dusted in a long time. The carpet looked like it could do with a clean too. There was also a big mark on the bedding which was conveniently covered with the towels that they had provided. Host and stay took an unauthorised payment from my account after I had paid for an extra night and I was passed about trying to chase a refund for weeks. Check in was late in my opinion for the amount of money you're paying each night. I asked if we could use the parking but not check in until 4pm, so we could leave our bags and enjoy our day. I was then told that unfortunatley the parking would be in use. That was fine but then I got a call offering me to check in at 11pm for an extra £40 which felt very dishonest. We travel a lot and most hosts go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay, it didn't feel like that here.

Excellent location,modern and clean with good wi fi,short walk into Whitby comfortable beds and nice and quiet.

Car parking space too small for our suv .
