The Whitby Prospect, large apartment, fantastic views & parking

Communication with Lee was very easy, he answered our queries very promptly and was always very helpful. The accommodation was great and suited our needs completely. It was very well situated to what we were doing in Whitby.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The size. The location, and the apartment is immaculate . The views are outstanding.

Spacious apartment over two floors, great views over the town and the abbey as well as over the sea. Easy walk into the town and easy drive to local beaches, villages and the moors. Parking permit supplied for local car park, a 10 minute walk away.

Everything was great.

This is a well equipped and well thought out apartment. The views over the town are wonderful. Lee was a lovely host. Would definitely return here.

There was nothing not too like.

The location is ideal. Close to the beach and the town. Great for walks along the beach in both directions. The apartment is very spacious and nicely decorated. Everything worked fine. Most impressed with the apartment. One of the best we have stayed in.

When we arrived the lift was out of action and this meant hard work carrying everything up the stairs to the 4th floor. Lee didn't know the lift was out of action and chased it up but it took till our next to last day before the lift was fixed. Not Lee's fault, but not ideal.

The views were really nice and the location was good. The apartment had eveything we needed, and it was clean. The car can be parked 1 minute away, and the owner provides a parking permit which makes the parking a bit cheaper.

It was hard to find the property, as no street number is given. The building itself seems to be in decline, although the apartment was in good condition. The matress in the twin beds was a bit unconfortable due to excessive use, and the bathtub couldn't drain because the lid was broken.

Lovely bright , clean , comfortable apartment . Great views of the Abbey and the sea . Lovely little touches with the tea, milk and biscuits left for us - exactly what was needed after a 3.5 hour journey . Great communication with the owners . A great little place to stay x

The location and the facilties were excellent

Easy check in and out. Lovely spacious and well equipped accommodation on 2 floors. A nice little welcome gift of biscuits and milk was appreciated.

Having to ask for the heating to be put on due to it being programmed to be remotely controlled by the owner rather than have a choice myself. The lift broke down for one and half days of our 3 night stay so climbing 92 steps, each time we were in and out, to the 4th floor was not for the fainted hearted. The fire alarm also went off at 7.50am on our check out day resulting in the building being evacuated and the fire brigade called. Although these issues are out of the owners' control I do think it needs to go in the welcome pack of what to do if any of these issues occur alongside the fire procedure on the apartment door, as when we got down stairs everyone thought it was an automated fire alarm that went straight to the fire service rather than having to call 999 yourselves.

Lovely spacious apartment with a wonderful view of the abbey and sea. Kitchen had everything we needed including washing up liquid, tea towel, oil, salt and pepper. Parking permit was really helpful and although the car park was busy we always found a spot. 10mins to the centre and beach made it a perfect location Communication was excellent

All good - the building is old and so the stairs are a bit steep and the lift a bit rickety but we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
