Mademoiselle's Boutique Holiday Accommodation

The room was truly well designed and decorated - in fact, it probably was among the prettiest accomodations we have very stayed at. The location was great, too, on a reasonably quiet street yet very close to bars, cafes, restaurants, and all of Whitby's attractions. The scratch card provided by the host allowed us to park for free (but finding a spot, even just to go grab the scratch card from the room, was a nightmare; of course this applies to all accomodations in Whitby).

I understand the boudoir style of the room requires mood lighting, but there should also be the option to turn on a lamp that actually provides some, you know, *light*. Even with all the lights turned on, it was way too dark in the evening for any practical purposes (reading, finding something in your bag, etc.). Also, the bedside lamps were equipped with bulbs providing unpleasant, blue-tinged, cold light, contrasting harshly with the much warmer (if terribly dim) light of all the other lamps. The complex decor also means it's apparently hard to keep everything spotlessly clean - all the important things were clean enough, but there was a lot of dust in some places. We could hear everything from the apartment above: walking, moving furniture, conversations. People up there must hear all sounds from the hotel room below. Music from the bar downstairs was also audible through the floor (but that stopped at 10 pm).

Great, central location but surprisingly quiet as rooms located at rear of property. Very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated.

The only thing missing that we would have liked was someone "ordinary" tea. 😁 Plenty of other options on offer, though, which we enjoyed!

Great location, wonderful room. Loved the bath in the corner, abd en suite spotless too. Handy cupboard with kettle, fridge etc. Friendly and welcoming staff downstairs. Yet felt very private in our room.

Hairdryer was a little suspect - didn't use it!

Brilliant host, couldn't do enough for you and great location to the centre

From start to finish, the owner and staff couldn't do enough for us. They were very friendly and attentive. We came here for my wife's birthday and booked into their restaurant Bon Appetit. It's the little thing that adds up, and they got my wife a card small bottle of Prosseco and sang happy birthday to her. The room was excellent and exceeded our expectations.

There was nothing i didn't like.

Nothing, really lovely, would benefit from a fan as it was very warm through the night.
