The no smoking anywhere rule. I’m a smoker and had thought I could at least smoke on the balcony but I actually had to go all the way to the gate

Amazing, beautifully decorated spacious apartment with breathtaking views! Place was well equipped, neat and tidy. Serviced daily with clean towels provided. Would definitely vissit again!

Very late check-in and very early check out. Ladies were still busy cleaning when we got there for 3pm check-in. We had to leave and come back after that. Bedding was super clean, but throws need a wash.

The unit is well equipped and comfortable. Beautifully furnished. Stunning views.

The stairs to the unit is the only thing we did not like. Its quite a bit of stairs and when you carry luggage and groceries it can become a problem. 🙂

I am typically not one to complain, but when you pay for a service, it is only fair to expect everything to be up to standard. The location of the penthouse was exceptional, offering a spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset. However, I must address a few issues that greatly affected our experience. Upon arriving at the penthouse, we discovered that the gas stove was out of gas, rendering it unusable. This was quite disappointing, as it meant we couldn't cook dinner on our first night. Additionally, the lounge area of the penthouse was infested with cockroaches, which was extremely unpleasant and unsettling. This was especially disheartening because it was my mother and I's first staycation together, and I only visit South Africa once a year. When we reached out to Kirsty regarding these issues, it seemed as though she did not believe us and even insinuated that we were making up stories about the roaches. She remarked that we were the first guests to mention such a problem. I found her response to be unhelpful and unsympathetic. Despite the gas issue being addressed by a technician who arrived the next morning, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience caused. To ensure that our concerns were taken seriously, I took pictures and videos of the cockroaches as evidence, as Kirsty seemed skeptical due to us being the first guests to complain about this issue. It is unfortunate that I had to resort to such measures, but it was important for me to demonstrate the severity of the problem. In conclusion, while the penthouse's location and views were outstanding, the lack of gas for the stove and the presence of cockroaches in the lounge area greatly marred our stay. I hope that this feedback helps the management improve their services and address these issues promptly for the future guests.

In addition to the aforementioned issues, I would like to address the matter of check-in and check-out times. While Kirsty was generally accommodating, I found the check-in time to be a bit late. The standard check-in time at most accommodations is usually around 2pm, but at this penthouse, it was set for 3pm. Similarly, the check-out time was earlier than usual, as most places allow guests to check out around 12pm, whereas we were required to vacate the premises by 9am. These timing restrictions did not align with my expectations and left me feeling as though I did not receive my money's worth. Given the inconveniences we encountered during our stay, the limited time available for enjoying the penthouse only added to the overall dissatisfaction. I believe that adjusting the check-in and check-out times to be more in line with industry standards would be beneficial for future guests. It would allow for a smoother and more relaxed experience, providing ample time to settle in and enjoy the accommodation without feeling rushed.
