Beach front penthouse apartment

The unit we booked had only one bathroom available, the host contacted us 2 days prior check in to advise us of this and gave us an option to change to a different unit because of this. I appreciate that, but my thing was, why advertise a unit that is not 100% when guests are paying 100%. The host could have explained the amount of steps we had to walk up to get to the unit, there is no elevator and checking in with luggage was a nightmare. Saturday night, we had a problem with the gas braai to which the host indirectly told us we are stupid for not knowing how to use the braai, we were told someone would come and sort that out for us to which we waited 3 hours until we had to make another plan to ensure we have food for that evening, host was totally unapologetic. We had asked the host to at least allow us more time when checking out since its such a mission to move in and out of that place, she first promised us 15 mins to which she later declined and told us to be out at 9am. And at exactly 9o’clock we had a guy knocking on the door, he did not even explain why he was there he just marched in went straight to the main bedroom, we are a group of ladies and some were still getting dressed and this man just walks in was very uncomfortable to say the least. I don’t know if that man was sent to send us away i really don’t believe that is the correct way of treating guests. We felt like we were being done a favor by being there. I honestly feel like the host is letting himself down because that is such a beautiful apartment but the treatment and service is pathetic.

When we arrived, the remote to enter the property was not where we were told it would be. We waited an hour outside the property for a remote. The main bedroom air-conditioner did not work and they sent someone to repair the next day after we had an argument about it on the phone. 2nd bedroom air-conditioner also did not work well. Drawers in main bedroom were very poor and could not open or close properly. The main sliding door from the lounge couldn't lock and had no key. The beds are probably very old and very hard and uncomfortable, pillows were very "used" and not comfortable either. Lounge suit was similarly not comfortable. Lastly the code to enter the front door is 9 digits long and NEVER worked on the 1st try. It sometimes took at least 5 times before the door actually opened. Paid a lot of money and the only good thing about the property was the view.

I struggled a bit to understand the lock but the Oasis agent was very helpfull.

The checkin time is late and the check out time is too early. Most accomodations have a check in of 2pm and a checkout of 11. Having a checkout of 9 was VERY inconvenient.

air conditioners not working. was reported and was told they would be fixed during our stay. this was the last communication and they were not fixed. reading other reviews, it appears as though they have not been working for a while. glasses in the kitchen were a really weird mix. the property sleeps 6 but only 2 wine glasses. the inventory supplied is way out of date, for example, tv is a different brand model. it has been in the property for a while as it was there when we last visited 9 months ago. internal doors have holes in the bottom. no lock on outside gate. still a lovely place to stay, just not as amazing as last time.

The property has the most amazing beach views!It was very comfortable and close to all the shops.We also got lucky and saw dolphins on our last day.

It could have been cleaned a little bit more before we got there.Also the windows in the kitchen.
