I wanted to provide a useful and balanced review for future guests. Here is a summary of the aspects I encountered during my stay to help you make the best decision: Critical Points: Bedding Cleanliness: Upon late arrival, I was unpleasantly surprised to find hairs in the bed linen. Although I contacted the host, the issue was only resolved the following day, affecting my first night's rest. 1.Allergies and Detergents: Guests sensitive to strong scents or prone to allergies should be cautious. The detergent used for the linen is very strong and caused sneezing and discomfort throughout the night for me (first time experiencing this). 2.Pest Issues: Even though I was careful with hygiene and immediately disposed of household waste, I encountered an unexpected presence of ants in the accommodation space. 3. Parking Advice: Be informed! If you arrive in the evening, always check the immediate vicinity for options. I discovered that free street parking is available between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM, information that would have helped me save the money paid for the private parking located 800m away. Recommendation: The accommodation has potential, but the lack of attention to essential details (initial cleanliness, quick problem resolution) and the incomplete information about parking can overshadow the experience. I hope this feedback is constructive for the host and useful for future guests.

Great location right beside the old cathedral. Short walk from everything. 10mins to the old town.

Parking is very limited in Funchal in general. We found great parking in the “Car Park Plaza” in the Plaza Madeira shopping centre which was a 10 min walk from the apartment

Tolle Lage, echt zentral, Taxis direkt um die Ecke. Großzügiges Zimmer und zuverlässige Vermieter.

Wir mögen harte Matratzen, diese waren allerdings mehr als hart.

Superb central location but on a quiet street. Totally soundproofed. Apartments were as described in photos. Very comfortable. Welcome treats a nice touch. We were able to leave our bags at the accommodation after check out.

Fantastic location—minutes from iconic sights on a picturesque, shop-lined street. The apartment is spacious, spotless, and well equipped; nights were very quiet.

Parking on nearby streets is extremely difficult (true across Funchal). We used Almirante car park—about a 10-minute walk, €15/24h. Note: mornings can be noisy as nearby restaurants set up.
