Excellent hospitality; our trip to mount Etna was derailed by the bus being full but our host was the most gracious and cooked a meal for us instead! Apartment is very clean and also in a fantastic location, literally 2 minute walk to the bus station which connects you to other cities for day trips. Luggage storage was also available. Only small issue would be you have to use Google translate to speak to the host as she only speaks Italian but she more than makes up for it with her hospitality and excellent apartment! You can tell she is really passionate about welcoming travellers to her place. Would definitely be back in a heartbeat!

"I was very happy leaving the place."

It was clean

The location is a disaster, it felt unsafe, rundown and the streets had open dumping. Very high levels of graffiti and loitering youths. We ordered food delivered as we were afraid to go out.

"Secure and comfortable."

Sara was an excellent host - even though she speaks no English!! Close to train station and airport bus. Comfortable bed. Good security.

Neighbourhood is rundown. Bed is on a mezzanine and bathroom is downstairs.
