Ventur Flat

Apartment faced ocean with beautiful sunrise view. Apartment is spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated. Host was responsive and helpful. It was very simple to drop off luggage early. Quintas Splendida was closed by. Magnificent garden, infinity pool and wine tasting are there. We took the bus there and walked back. Promenade / swimming beach is 5 minutes walk. There’s an excursion shop (named Loco?) nearby that sells tour and activities for the island. We did the east tour and got picked up last and dropped off first. We used Bolt to go to the airport.

Bus system is limited. There’s frequent bus to Funchal and all trips go back to Funchal. Machico, Santana, east side attractions are very closed but there is no direct bus or none at all. This is an excellent place for people with car

The apartment has a terrace with really beautiful view on the ocean, we also really liked the kitchen which seems like a bar.

It was little bit confusing to find the entrance, more information about the check in and out would be also useful

There was no salt and pepper in the flat (but a free wine and cookies!)

Great, quiet location. Ocean view. Restaurants, bars, shops nearby. The apartment is almost new, well equipped.

You have to pay for parking during the day.

The room is well kept and clean. Owner is friendly and even welcome us with a small bottle of Madeira wine and some local cookies.

There is no free parking though is not that expensive for parking fees. There is no lift in the building and may not be so convenient if come with heavy luggages. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils but if you need to prepare a simple meal, then you must buy your own spices and oil. No shampoo or shower gel are provided too. Quite noisy as you could hear neighbours from coridor as well as below the street.

This was our 4th stay at Ventur Flat. Nice apartment with well equipped kitchen, large terrace with ocean view, excellent cleaning, the host Luis is very kind and helpful, quiet area and enjoyable to sit on the terrace in the evening, comfortable beds

Everything was fine

Nice clean and modern apartment. Everything we needed. Having a washer is a great perk when you’re packing light and need to do laundry. Great host. Location is within striking distance of many great hikes. We got a lot for our money at this place.

Shower was a bit wonky with inconsistent temp and pressure, but we got through that. It didn’t affect us because our stay was over a weekend and holiday when parking was free, but the city had just made all of the parking in front of the apartment paid spaces. Bummer for this apartment host and his future guests.
