Jardim do Jasmineiro by Amazing Madeira

We had a wonderful stay at the accommodation. It was very spacious, which was perfect for our two boys, as they had plenty of room to play. They loved the pool and the small playground. We also really appreciated the central location—the nearest supermarket and shops were only a 10‑minute walk away, as was the promenade. The kitchen was well equipped, and both the washing machine and dishwasher worked perfectly. The beds were also confortable. We also enjoyed the new smart TV (the photos still show an old TV), which had all the major streaming apps installed, including Netflix and HBO Max.

The only things we could not find were a hoover, so we had to rely on the broom, and the whirlpool bathtub did not seem to work.

We were quite delayed getting to the property, but Tatiana was very gracious and kind and waited to check us in. The communication was excellent throughout. Beds are very comfy, rooms have shutters, blinds and curtains so we were not disturbed by light in the mornings. Well-equipped kitchen, comfy sofa and lovely terrace. The pool was also lovely, but it was too cold for us to use due to the weather. The area feels very safe and there are lots of superb restaurants within a short walk. We were able to walk to the centre of Funchal in about 20 minutes, and the nearby park is beautiful. The apartment also has a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, coffee machine, stove and microwave.

The apartment was cold due to the unusually cold weather, however Tatiana and the owner provided additional blankets and a heater to ensure we were comfortable. The shower doors were difficult to move and needed repair, which we reported and they advised they were aware - this really needs to be fixed. Parking is available, but not guaranteed as there are 3x visitor spaces for the apartment block, which was not entirely clear to us. There is street parking available as well however.

I would have scored it higher but there was a leak in the ensuite that I had to keep mopping up during my stay.

As per many comments previously and a minor one : no inbuilt air con but air conditioner unit that can be moved from room to room . Bed mattress- very , very hard to.

The apartment & location to Funchal was great. Pool was lovely.

The apartment didn't provide sunloungers & there were none by the pool. On our 2nd last day we planned to lounge around the apartment and spend time at the pool However there was a teenage pool party on from 2pm to nearly 9pm and as we are ground floor apartment the noise was deafing. We were unable to use the pool. If we had been aware we could have planned a trip for the day.
